The behavior of the cops is based entirely on the media coverage. The media had a spotlight on the cops last summer in order to promote the anti-Trump narrative building up to the election. Now that Biden is in office, sorta, The BLM protests aren't as useful to the media at the moment, so the cops are going to go back to doing what they do best, being cops.

Why don't all of the other members of the House ask for the same amount for their districts? This would make it so outrageous it would be cancelled out.
Another option is to move to Texas and live in the suburbs outside of the cities, most of which are red. There is so much space in Texas that the cities sprawl out pretty far. You'll get the benefits of being near major transportation hubs and job opportunities. You get the benefit of being a Texan too, such as no state income tax.

Remember back last Spring/Summer during all of those daily COVID TV pressers he was actually polling well for the Dems as a potential Presidential candidate. The people behind Kamala are vicious, and Cuomo isn't part of that crowd.
This is probably pre-planned. They needed the dogs for the photo ops right after the fake inauguration.
