If sending out checks to encourage spending is good policy, then we may as well be sending out $500,000 checks every week so that everyone can buy a new home and a new yacht.

Even when you set aside the long term economic side effects of constantly printing and passing out money, a government check is addressing the symptom and not the disease. The problem isn't really that people are averse to spending per se (I'm sure that Amazon and any business with an online presence or delivery service is making money hand over fist), it's that consumers who still have disposable income are not necessarily able (i.e. allowed) to spend what they have at places that they want.

Insofar as people are averse to spending, that's almost entirely due to the personal financial crunch of having their income either partially or completely choked off... because of the government's actions.

And besides, whether they're $600, $2,000, or $500,000, the money in those checks were theirs to begin with, not Uncle Sam's.

In order for the "no evidence!!" claim to hold true, we have to believe that hundreds of private citizen whistleblowers across multiple states intentionally lied under oath about what they experienced. What incentive do they have to lie under oath? They have a lot to lose and individual testimony is a longshot for any kind of gain.

We can provide a long list of court cases prior to the election that were designed to facilitate mail-in ballot fraud or otherwise complicate the verification process. We have months worth of footage of Democrats setting the table for the post-election chaos, constantly badgering Trump and his circle if they would "accept a peaceful transition of power", knowing full well that the game was rigged from the start. We have the pre-election setting of the stage, we have the screwy election night "counting pauses", and we have the post-election refusals to investigate.

But dismissing the sworn testimonies of private citizens with little chance of personal gain is tantamount to the "Concave Hollow Earth" conspiracy theorists who have to concoct ever-more elaborate theories to explain how so many people could be "in on the cover up". The real "conspiracy theorists" are those that have convinced themselves that hundreds of random private citizens are nothing more than paid liars.

Please, no. If we absolutely must do a Stimulus, then yes, $600 from the government that rakes in billions every year is insulting, but the real conversation we need to have is elsewhere. The best "stimulus" check comes from a job, and it's the state governments that are making that more and more difficult, sometimes impossible. Handing out checks is bad economic policy, even if it does "feel good" and it gets you some votes.

Don't beg the government for a check. That's the road to UBI. Instead demand your right to reopen.

This is what is commonly known as a "Heel program".

At first, I was tempted to say that this is a deepfake, but it sounds like him. Same accent, cadence and style, and the speech pattern isn't "choppy" as though it was a bunch of different speeches spliced together.

Say it with me, altogether now:

"The left always accuses you of that which they are already guilty of."

How would you know they're "unfounded", Galaxy Brain? Have you conducted any kind of serious investigation into them? Have you actually spoken with any of the whistleblowers or private citizens with affidavits?

At any random point during a Biden "speech", the feed could pause and you could have some solemn-looking doctor walk on screen.

"These are the signs of dementia. If you or a loved one is experiencing these symptoms..."

I think most people here are trustworthy, but if you send them a check or PayPal or whatever, make sure you ask for a receipt. Some kind of verification that they used the money on a plane ticket or hotel room.

I'm also not sure how liability works in these cases or if "accessory to a crime" could apply, but you should probably verify with them that they're going to DC with good intentions. I wouldn't want to give my money to someone if they want to start fires, harass people, or do anything that would otherwise harm our message.

Isn't it weird that the term "conspiracy theorist" is never paired with leftist claptrap? 4 years now we've heard endless theories about how Drumpf is totally a lapdog for a nation like Russia, whose global influence is wildly overstated, and whose economy is held together with scotch tape and gum. Each "muh Russia" theory or "connection" is more idiotic than the last, and each one is parrotted ad nauseum by hordes on social media.

Ahh, but Karens are useful for maintaining the paranoia. They spread it to their coworkers, family members, and to anyone else within hearing distance. The constant social pressure tends to wear certain people down if they're constantly being told that they're "endangering the world!!1!"

You don't get it man, we had to shut down the entire company because allnof the Facebook Karens got scared by the talking heads, and nurses needed more time to perform totally epic tik tok dance videos. You just don't get it. How can you be so selfish???

Keith, you voted for the walking fossil that publicly rambles about his "hairy legs" and needs every ounce of cognitive horsepower he has just to remember what city he's in. Maybe you should sit out when it comes to discussing who's stupid.

blm burns businesses? The badge boys watch from afar, night after night.

Want to go to the capitol building because your business is dying and you're sick of it? No can do, the riot police will be here in 2 minutes.

Don't see any problems here. Looks like a peaceful protest to me.

Hussar 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's the worst of both worlds. The government handing out "stimulus" checks is already a bad economic policy in the long run, and $600 dollars per person is nowhere near enough to make up for a dying business, especially when our businesses are dying because of endless government-promoted paranoia.

Thanks Congress. No wonder you have the approval rating of a Sandpaper Scalp Massage.

Boomers are a major reason why we're in this mess to begin with. Millenials may have a greater tendency to vote for marxist idiots like Omar and Occasional-Cortex, but we aren't the generation that filled academia with commie professors in the first place. Hollywood was also churning out leftists long before most of us were even born.

If we're gonna talk about tech surveillance, remember that the site you're using right now is even easier for the FBI to snoop on than a Discord server.

(Obligatory "not all boomers" disclaimer goes here)

Don't know where they're going to find 74 million prison cells, but it's gonna be mighty awkward when they have to explain that they emptied the prisons of killers and thieves because "muh covid", only to say that they need to be filled back up with Trump conspirators.

If you live in a country where your vote can be thrown out, altered, nullified with fake votes, or otherwise compromised, if you live in a country where the courts and politicians largely don't care that your vote was compromised, then you're not living in a Constitutional Republic now, are you?

Come on, Barnes, you're smarter than this. The Democrats, their cronies, and their enablers in the GOP have already shredded the Constitution by destroying the vote - the bedrock of our entire system. By your own estimation, Texas v. Pennsylvania was a slam dunk case built with strong evidence and legal precedent. SCOTUS completely ignored it. How can we say that we even have a Constitution anymore?

I'm fully aware of the fact that some kind of martial law or seizure of voting machines will completely change the country forever, and that it'll have side effects that we can't possibly fathom, but I don't see many other options. How many more cases need to be flippantly dismissed in court before we acknowledge that they aren't interested in evidence or electoral integrity?

Not sure why they would make it a board game. Board games are usually meant for 2 or more people, and the people that would buy this are vacuous wine aunts and other people that are absolutely unbearable to be around in the first place.
