I would like to take a few moments to voice my extreme shock and disappointment on the laziness, and preferential treatment to “pet projects” of/for Congress. This is specifically in regards to the NDAA 21 Bill recently passed by both houses.

I would be able to provide HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of issues with this “combined” bill. As I have not had the time to read the bill in its entirety and for brevity I will provide a few of the top issues from my perspective:

1. This bill is near an astounding 6,000 pages. Members of Congress were supposed to vote on this before allowing them adequate time to review. This is a dangerous recipe for disaster when we start passing laws without reading them or knowing what is included.

2. The amount being allocated for American citizens is utterly disrespectful and feels like a slap in the face when exorbitant amounts are being sent outside the country when Americans are hurting. We should take care of our own house first.

3. Allowing an extremely small portion of the country to dictate that we should effectively “erase” our history by renaming military bases named after confederate leaders and banning the display of the confederate flag is outright atrocious. It is a part of our history and made us the great country we are.

4. Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 was not repealed. The MSM and “Big Tech” have been censoring and suppressing Americans RIGHT to free speech under the Constitution. This is UNACCEPTABLE. This is the United States of America, not Communist China.

5. To return to one of my main points - the laziness of Congress and “pet projects” - it is a shame that our legislative branch operates in this manner. I support President Trumps statement he made to Rep Pelosi regarding a “standalone” bill for COVID relief, yet legislators REFUSE to allow these standalone bills and ALWAYS add “riders” so they can “get what they want” because they know it would never garnish the support required to be passed into law. This is exactly what contributed to making this atrocious bill the size that it is. I’m also extremely shocked that ANY representative of the American people would vote to pass this bill without fully reading and comprehending this bill in whole.

I am utterly disgusted at the dishonest behavior of our legislators. We as Americans require better across the board.

I have heard from Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and those of the MAGA parties all agree that this bill is unacceptable.

I would like to urge that President Trump vetoes this bill when he deems the correct time before the time period expires.
