I live in NJ and we had to do "mail in" ballots, no choice. We did have the choice of using USPS or dropping them at a trusted ballot collection place. I chose the latter. I had to sign an outside envelope, attesting to who I am, for every family member whose ballots I was depositing. I did so. On the outside envelope I also had to sign for in whose name I was carrying the ballots. For me, that was three family members in addition to myself. The drop off location (local library), also had a security camera recording 24/7, so they could see if the number of drop offs matched the number of people depositing the ballots. I trust my local election officials and I live in a red town, red county but blue state. Hope they stayed as secure as they seemed.

That's great! four weeks early and still five pounds. One of my twins was five pounds at birth but was still considered full term. She's about five feet seven now.

This is a great picture! All the men in my family who served in combat in WWII are gone now. They'd have loved this.

Well here in NJ they've already outlawed plastic bags and straws.

It's awful. I'm watching my beautiful little town businesses struggling to stay alive. People here are doing everything they can to support them, but many people have no Christmas money to shop like they usually do. I hate Murphy.

I live in a resort area and the summer, which is a huge season usually, saw many local businesses go under. I live in a pretty affluent area where people really support local businesses and it wasn't enough.

I'd like to nominate NJ Governor Phil Murphy who murdered the elderly by forcing Covid patients into nursing homes so Covid could spread among the most vulnerable population. Destroyed small businesses, including restaurants by forcing closures, but leaving the big box stores like Walmart open. Openly taunted NJ citizens by publicly doing what he denied the rest of the population from doing.

I work in healthcare, ( geriatrics), and had an elderly male patient who was in the hospital due to a broken ankle. Very nice gentleman. Anyway one morning he told me he couldn't wait to go home, because he missed his dog so much. Found out he broke his ankle tripping over the dog but totally blamed himself for the mishap. Biden probably had his dog arrested for battery.Of course I totally doubt his story.

Was there really a dog? We'll never know.

I'd prefer the dog to Biden. Sounds like a good boy.

I never thought of that. I can't see how it could have helped me cheat because the NCLEX covers so much information. I've never cheated on an exam either and it always seemed to me that those that did so should have just used that time to actually study.

Ugh, I live in a state that's banned plastic straws for God knows what stupid reason.

You sound like you've had some experience with that :) Many years ago the national exam for graduating nurses (NCLEX) was a written exam and took about six weeks to grade from what I've been told. I always suspected an acquaintance had a look alike friend take the exam for her. All you needed was a driver's license with a picture. I never got further than speculating about it, but I still believe it occurred. Proving it would have very difficult. When I took the test it was all computerized with very strict security at the testing center. I actually had to remove the glasses I was wearing and take some scotch tape off one of the side pieces in case I had I dunno, a microchip? We were practically frisked before going in.

In the eighties and nineties we lived in the Midwest. Nearly every fifteen year boy had a gun rack on their pickup. Age for driver's license was fifteen at the time. I never felt I was in danger.

Wow, never heard of AGP before but it makes sense. I mean even with wigs and lipstick these dudes still look and act like dudes. There's one that works in a store I frequent, and I never understood how someone so outwardly masculine aside from a little lipstick and nail polish, could think they're female. Apparently they don't.

Same here. There is someone actually parked in front of my driveway, but in the spirit of Thanksgiving I'm not saying a word. Hope they're all having a great day.
