It's like cheating in a relationship. If Pence had said a month before "I'm not willing to do exercise the power of the VP to exclude dubious electors" or "I don't think the Constitution gives the VP the power to exclude dubious electors" his actions would've been reasonable and expected on Jan 6th. Instead, he signaled up until an hour before that he was going to do something, then changed his mind (or revealed the truth) at the last moment.
If your unmarried partner says "I'm leaving you, and I hope never to see you again." It isn't a betrayal if he or she sees someone else a month later, but if he or she insists everything is cool until an hour before a date with someone else, that definitely is.
The only thing I've seen wrong from Mike Pence was not being forthcoming (publicly) with his position on this.
According to the almighty Duck, an FMJ 9mm round weighs 14.06 grams, which means 32 rounds per pound, or $0.24 per round. There's no maximum purchase sign up, so I assume this is either old or fake... Otherwise that'd be sold out.
In Boston, 22.4% of the population is black, and 17.5% is Hispanic. Accounting for "other" groups, 56-60% of the population is either white or asian, so black and Hispanic students are less present in advanced classes by 25-42%, proportional to the population of the city.
And... That tells us nothing at all about how many qualified students of any race are being improperly denied advanced class access. It could be anywhere from 0-100% of the students that should be in those classes by merit actually are, based on that data.
Mccarthy?
I knew a confused woman that dressed as men dress, and tried to speak, act and look like a man. She had called herself a gay male for almost a decade when I met her.
It took me a full week of interacting with her to realize she wanted to act manly, rather than just having practical clothing preferences, and an alto voice.
So you're saying...
FORMER PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA GOT IN A FISTFIGHT FOLLOWING RACIST BEHAVIOR
...but in a less misleading way? That's fascinating.
Depends on the state, but generally you have to use the right weapon, in the right set of days. Often a license is required, as well.
The funny part to me is that the headline might be true. When I was taught critical thinking, one of the aspects was to seek out major media sources to confirm or deny facts.
Recently my local paper ran a story with a statement about something from a city official. I had heard my mom say the opposite, so I checked the county website, and it turned out the city official was entirely wrong. It was a trivial detail, but even at that level of local information, no one at the paper bothered to verify the information.
Maryland and several other states have laws against making or buying magazines above 10 rounds. We humble MD gun owners are forced to trek all the way to literally any neighboring state to buy standard magazines.
Thank you for reading the paper. This is my best summary of events so far, in case anyone else is curious:
DOE to ERCOT: "Use only such capacity as is necessary to maintain reliability of the electrical system. Use other options to the extent possible.
We've authorized exceeding the environmental regulations you requested. If you make other requests, we'll consider them in good faith.
You have to report what happened. You still owe taxes.
If you need an extension, request it before the current order is expired."
InfoWars: "OMG. The DOE just denied additional capacity that would've kept the grid reliable."
Hydro and nuclear are the only green energy sources. Natural gas is above average.
Wind is the worst. The insulating gas leaking is causing a bigger greenhouse gas effect than all the CO2 not released for the entire history of wind driven electricity generation. It can't be stored or predicted, and it is inefficient for both space and materials.
No. Remove the existing restrictions. If you only ever say "That one was the last one, ever!" then we are only ever losing more freedom.
You appear to have missed that you don't have standing to petition the government for redress of grievances in the first, that "shall not be infringed" is no longer part of the second, and that Kyle Rittenhouse was hit with 2 million dollars of bail for obvious self defense, in the 8th.
I do recognize (and even accept) the idea that the second amendment is protecting a pre-existing right to keep and bear arms, and that it does not protect ownership or use of nuclear weaponry, chemicals such as sarin gas, or large explosives. From historical context, it is obvious that it does protect cannons, fully automatic firearms, and any weapons that can be carried and used by a single person, for a lawful self defense.
Essentially every country has switched from reporting U6 unemployment to U3 unemployment, so while the numbers are not comparable between the 1930s and now, they are comparable between different countries today.
Arguably U3 unemployment is a better indicator of the economy's health. Inarguably, politicians prefer reporting lower unemployment numbers.
I want to be fair to her. If I was somehow given the task of explaining Joe Biden's actions to people, I'd be heavily employing the dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge strategy.
Last year before the Superbowl, a couple of my coworkers talked about the one team and the other team for weeks before. This year, not a peep.
This may depend on your time horizon. If you're still at least 10 years from retirement, the risk of missing the comeback we'll make could be much higher than the risk of taking a Biden beating now.
I'm convinced my great uncle died from the China virus. He got sick, went to the hospital after 2 days, and died the next day after. He was 88, and still able to walk unassisted, but noticably declining in health starting maybe 3 years ago, when he was no longer able to hold hand tools.
I wasn't able to go see him in the last year because of all the lockdowns and travel restrictions, and he lives out beyond the reach of high speed internet. I was robbed of spending time with him, and it didn't even protect him (or anyone else? Everyone over 70 that I know has tested positive for the China virus by now.)
But he didn't ban calling it the CCP virus? Fine by me.
Is it "Biden Virus"?
She only brought cookies for Biden supporters.
So... The EO just says that you should follow CDC guidance? That's a pointless EO.
The executives had too much discretion. The judiciary had too much discretion. Change the voting laws to take that away from them. That's all at the state level, and we have 4 years.
To my knowledge they just relied on no one knowing the videos, photos, testimonies, etc existed... Then concluded no one was injured by literally losing all transparency into the election, so no one could sue.
I watch fringe Christian groups that believe they can predict the end of the world (hit: God said no one knows the answer, so if you think you know...).
They periodically re-adjust the math and predictions, and continue making predictions year after year. Historical documents suggest this has gone on since at least the 400s, possibly earlier. The advertiser media is going to continue to spin lies into a web for decades, or centuries.
