This was my thought exactly when our city council considered this bullshit, but then they specified 2in lettering. The proposal that included fines up to $5,000, revoking permits, and misdemeanors went down in flames! The police chief didn't even want to carry out this ordinance. Only one councilman voted for it and he will not get re-elected after this crap.
We have a private "facebook group" that is listing businesses that don't have signs up for masks in our city. They say they are doing it for the good of the people yet it's a private group that kicks people out all the time even if you have never made a comment. Our city council has voted more than twice to not have a mandate and the police chief is not interested in dealing with karens and their mask calls. So we have no mandate and these karens want to try to ruin small locally owned businesses. We do have a counter FREEDOM group and they don't kick out the dissenters.

The building that's in this picture facade collapsed and was over 100 years old. The tree was pushed over by the collapse. If you take a look at google streets, you can see the tree, building and the ATT building where a Ford Ranger is parked is the spot the RV was in.
