Why is it that people think they are in any way responsible for what they ancestors did? Doesn't it suggest that evildoing in some way is inheritable? So to say "in the blood"? And isn't that pretty damn close to the nazi thought of "bloodlines"? Questions over questions... And btw he shouldn't be surprised, he doesn't even look like a black man himself.
Just like about all people I know who lived in the GDR, many of them say the propaganda today is even worse than back then, and that the social implications (not the official though) are worse when criticizing the government.
