When someone dismisses your argument because it references a conservative news source, they are committing a genetic fallacy or origin fallacy.

I checked the history of that web page on http://archive.is and found the example has been there since at least 2013.

Example: Accused on the 6 o'clock news of corruption and taking bribes, the senator said that we should all be very wary of the things we hear in the media, because we all know how very unreliable the media can be.
