I mean it is always dependent on the context. Words do not exist in a vacuum. A word such as bitch has grown over time. Then the context also matters. For example to word motherfucker is not offensive on its own - it is descriptive, right? It describes somebody having sex with a child bearer, yet saying motherfucker to an imposing bodybuilder in front of a night club might be deemed as offensive and you might not want to do that, if you want to keep your nose intact.
