Psalm 44:1-8 KJV

[1] We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.

[2] How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.

[3] For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

[4] Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.

[5] Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

[6] For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

[7] But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.

[8] In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

Take of this what you will. Just read the passage and it made me think about our modern situation. The passage itself goes on into other details beyond this main point. There is wisdom in the scriptures. Return to God.

This is a serious post for a few who will accept it. I don’t expect it to be a popular post but this is for a few who are listening.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God wants his people to follow him. For too long Americans have strayed from being a God fearing nation to following our own wicked ways and sinning against God. If we want to go back to our 1950’s white picket fence America then this is our only hope, but even more important than that version of America is eternal life. Turn away from wickedness and follow God. We can do this together.

I just couldn’t picture either one working hard, especially Obama, not that I intend to let Bush off the hook as he was the precursor.

I don’t like the idea of luring us in with any more socialism. I don’t need it. Do we have to cash these checks? I don’t like where we’re going with the gibs.

I’m totally fine making America great right here! I’d rather not have a bunch of commies handling the corpse of our founding. See you all here from now on!
