Personally I don’t think he’ll drop out. My theory is that he’s a shoe in and the Dems don’t have high confidence in this election and they’re just gonna hold out for 2024.

Meh, I don’t see this happening. At least joe backing down that is. It would be a huge blow to the Dems, it’s unprecedented. It would really mess with dem moral and momentum. Now, having the VP pick be the brains of the two and (if they won) be the real president (until he died or resigned) that’s more believable. But my running theory is that the Dems aren’t heavily invested in this election and are waiting to go all out in 2024. I think they’re aware of how hard it is to run against Trump and how unpredictable he can be. Best to save your “good” candidates for later and hope someone easier runs against them.
