The Trump campaign says attorney Sidney Powell, who has made unproven claims about voter fraud in the US election, is not part of their legal team

A statement from Rudy Giuliani and senior legal adviser Jenna Ellis released on Sunday says that “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the president in his personal capacity.” Powell appeared with Giuliani and Ellis in a press conference on Thursday and made multiple unproven claims about voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election according to AP and The Washington Post. Both Giuliani and President Trump have previously identified Powell as a member of the team defending the president.

My guess is she was hacked.

There is a report circulating around to to that effect. Does he know this first-hand or is he repeating what he heard? This happens. Gateway Pundit will report a rumor, and Patriots will repeat it as fact.

When you're making an official statement for the campaign you just fill in the template. You don't screenshot it and fill it in with an image editor.

None of the Trump legal team have posted since this announcement was made, except for Jenna's Twitter account, which made the original post.

Compare this statement posted by Rudy Giuliani and the one just posted by Jenna.

The style is completely different. Different typeface, logo is slightly pixelated, the grey box is misaligned and it has no bottom.

It looks like a screenshot edited in MS Paint.

No announcement from Giuliani or from Trump.

Add to that the fact that Sydney has been suspended from Twitter for 12 hours and cannot personally confirm this is authentic, all the "confirmations" are coming in third-hand.

This is weird to say the least.

Her name is on the Georgia filings, she's in charge of those.

All the official Trump campaign statements have the exact same format except for this one.

Also that's not a confirmation that's the original (and only) announcement.

I think that's rather unlikely. She's been tweeting normally after.

Jenna has not posted since making this announcement.

Trump, Giuliani, Jenna, and Sydney all have not posted since this announcement went up. One of them appears to be suspended.

I understand that it's not critical, what I'm saying is that the statement itself looks really dodgy. Why would an official statement from a campaign look this shitty?

I'm operating on the possibility that Jenna's account may have been compromised. Perhaps they all have been.

I saw third-hand confirmations from people who claim to have spoken to her. Nothing first-hand.
