"Trust the plan" is just saying, "Let someone else do all the work to keep you safe and free".

Whether it's true or not, you shouldn't embrace it. Let Trump do what he does. But you should also be working to free America.

I don't interpret it as Him preferring you to oppose rather than be on the fence. But I do agree context is always helpful, especially in Revelations. I was just telling him that it's a passage worth exploring.
