From my gab post about being a military member who took the vaccine "I don't blame other military personnel for not taking the COVID vaccine. I took it, and most people in my unit took it. All but two people in my battalion who took the vaccine literally felt sick and wiped out after the second dose. I had to call in sick because the second dose and specifically the 2ND DOSE (emphasis on this particular dose). It will more than likely fuck you up bad for at least 32 hours after inoculation in my very personal experience. I made a joke to my team lead who didn't take the vaccine btw "After the second dose I bet the whole unit anti vax now lmao". And she was like yeah I'd rather wait for more testing and the vaccine to not be emergency approved. I feel better now thank god, but from here on out I will never EVER take vaccines offered by the Army unless they are absolutely mandated (for deployment readiness reasons) from here on out. And honestly, COVID is not a deadly virus hundreds of thousands have died but the survival rate is over 99.9% . Don't take the vaccine unless you're at risk of dying from COVID. If you're normal and healthy stay away from the vaccine. The pain and suffering of the 2nd dose of the vaccine will hurt you far more than COVID ever will. Also let me be clear, no one is backing out of the vaccine because they are anti vaccine, you literally can't be anti vaccine and be in the armed services. It's not for me say what everyone's reasons are but the prevailing reason to my knowledge so far is the vaccine doesn't seem safe. And let me tell you, almost an entire fucking unit feeling like shit and calling in sick because of the vaccine only affirms their choice. Change my mind."
