Pay attention to this part of the story...
"We're not in a position to provide any subsidies right now because we have a $13 billion deficit," Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. "So there's a lot of good things I'd like to do, and if we get federal funding, we can do, but it would be irresponsible for me to sit here looking at a $13 billion deficit and say I'm gonna spend more money, when I can't even pay the essential services."
He is looking at this as if the money is already the property of the state, and collecting less of it is a "Subsidy", or money the state is paying out.
This actually pisses me off a bit.
This stuff has been going on for years, with many people being de-platformed for wrong think but because the president get's fact checked it's finally time to break out a fix? Not because Americans where having their free access to market taken from them, but because the President get's fact checked?
I'm happy it's finally happening, but I'm not happy that it took the President being affected to make it happen.
