I understand he's making the big ask, but the risk is that Republicans who can't think for themselves will misunderstand his strategy and actually try to repeal 230.
The problem there is the infringement on the private property of these corporations. Whether they are left-biased or right-biased, any platform should have the right to moderate to their discretion.
I'm not saying focused political censorship is good by any means, but freedom of control of your platform is just as important as freedom of speech. Imagine the government was able to dictate to .win on what was or wasn't allowed here?
If for example, a user on this site wrote something that could be considered slander, a death threat, etc, the site owners could be sued for allowing slander to exist here. The site would be targeted by the left, and brought down quickly.
Also there is rampant misinformation about what 230 would lead to. It is quite literally the death of social media - no platforms could exist if they were liable for all content. It would be China levels of censorship to avoid lawsuits.
Trump initiated Operation Warp Speed to develop a vaccine, but the company that developed this particular vaccine is BioNTech (German, and German funded). Pfizer will just be mass-producing / distributing.
The Trump administration has purchased 500m doses already for the country, so it being widely available to Americans is due to his involvement.
Trump passed an executive order over the summer (directly related to the BLM riots) that desecrating a Federal monument has a minimum sentence of 10 years. Whether anyone will actually be prosecuted, or prosecuted under this EO is debatable.
But it does exist.
