It’s much worse than that though. Our public school system pushes kids away from STEM so the government has an easy out that we HAVE to hand out h1bs to Foreign students to keep our tech industry running. We have to take our schools back.

I support giving these “trans” kids psychological screening. Let’s face it, most of them are probably abused and convinced they are trans by glory seeking parents who need something to prove that they are special. They are just kids that need help, but instead are being lead down paths that end in disaster. I really feel bad for those kids, you see a lot of them lose their fucking shit, no wonder, they are being made into meat-puppet science experiments so that their parents can have woke trophies. They are being pumped so full of chemicals that they probably end up thinking that they are a 23ytr37th gender, because why not? And then we see the end product with neon hair ree-ing in the street. Give the kids help for their mental health, jail the parents (the complicit ones).

He had been caught moving the glove to make it look better for the case. He also got caught saying “jogger” making him look super biased. And, OJ had the greatest legal defense team ever assembled. Rittenhouse’s team got the W, but Johnny Cochran wouldn’t have let Binger get away with half those questions.

Yeah, exactly. Prosecution has the Burden to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. They simply did not do that in OJs trial. They fucked up the chain of custody, Mark Furman ruined his credibility on tape, they just put forth a weak case.

Honestly, on almost everything, Thomas has the most common sense takes on the law. For example, all our implied rights get brought in under “liberty” but it would make more sense for them to come in under “privileges and immunities” except the Court fucked that up in the 1890s in the Slaughterhouse cases. No one else will touch it but he keeps coming back to that well and mentioning how dumb it is.

Absolutely. The first 3 seasons were incredible, and even after they came back from cancellation it had the juice. Sometime during the Obama years it just became unwatchable.

Makes sense, wasn’t that when he started Futurama?

From the time of the Tracy Ullman show, through at earliest say 1997, the show was pretty good. It went downhill after that. I haven’t watched it regularly since the 90s. Anytime I do watch it, I can’t believe it’s still on.

It used to lean left but it would take shots at Clinton at least. I’m talking in the Golden Age of the Simpsons, in the early-mid 90’s. To be frank, once Family Guy came on it stole the Simpsons flair, and then it turned into a pile of shit. The only animated comedy show that has CONSISTENTLY stayed good is South Park.

Honestly I’m cool with you saying shit like this. This site shouldn’t be the echo chamber that Reddit has turned into.

Yeah I don’t know, I have one of those electric cabinet smokers and the only “update” it needs is to be cleaned after uses.

the emperor was behind it all the whole time, Han Solo jr and Rey were kind of mentally force fucking each other, Rey won and died, Han Solo jr restored her to life via the Jedi healing trick she’d learned earlier in the film, while doing so he kissed her with his hand in her uterus area then he died. She buried luke and leia’s lightsabers on tatooine, called herself Rey skywalker and pulled out a yellow lightsaber. The last 15 minutes of the movie put the tail out there for at least 4 Disney + shows. The whole kiss-uterus-touch-Rey Skywalker let’s them make her Force Pregnant and mom to twins down the line if they want to.

If I was a little kid, it would have been cool, but even politics aside (they hit you with a sledgehammer), they had to spend the first 45 minutes of the movie retconning Last Jedi to make some semblance of a cohesive ending and pretend there was a plan all along. Phantom Menace was a pile of horse shit, it was the biggest let down of my life to realize that George Lucas was fucking up the franchise that I had fallen in love with as a little kid and had hoped so much for in 1999. But it was just kind of an incoherent toy commercial, it wasn’t a horrible, propaganda ridden shitfest. And the Prequel Trilogy ended with its best movie. The Sequel trilogy started off fun, but questionable and just became an SJW shitfire.

I mean he saw what happened in Italy and China and took his advisors’ word for it. He switched once he realized we had the infrastructure to handle it. COVID is extremely dangerous to people 80+, that’s why DeSantis took such strong measures to protect the elderly but didn’t treat everyone like they were 85. I can’t fault Trump for his initial moves, China literally shut its economy down, China doesn’t ever do anything like that, it was a huge shockwave to anyone paying attention. The problem was that Trump didn’t see that his own party would try to take advantage of the situation along with the Democrats, preventing him from getting the country open in time to thwart the Dems for setting the election traps that put old full diaper in the White House.

I replied to a post saying that the lady should sue for violation of the man’s 1st Amendment rights. I explained why that is not possible in this situation. Next time, try reading.

That sentiment is fine, I am simply pointing out that you can not, with very few exceptions, sue a private company for violating your constitutional rights. The constitution is a restraint on Government, not private actors.

13A is the big exception, no slavery. 14A has been held not to apply to private actors since the 1870’s, only when a private company is basically acting as the government can you bring a Due Process or Equal Protection Claim against them. And it’s very rare that these succeed. There are plenty of statutes that protect you from the actions of private actors, and you can also file a civil Tort claim for a variety of actions, but the constitution isn’t the play in this situation.

You might not like it, but this is facts-land, not feelings-land.

Private Employers aren’t bound to the Bill of Rights (save for the 13th Amendment). The exception is if the company is acting in place of the government, but since the OSHA mandate isn’t even in place, that doesn’t hold. There may be statutes, federal and local, that apply, but the 1st amendment affords you no protection against private actors.
