It's funny the first guy that told me straight up to quit daydreaming was a cali transplant that became my neighbor, younger than me by a few, still able to have fun without kids and shit... he was straight up. He came over here for the inevitable, came with all the guns Cali would allow, trained and dialed in- never thought I'd see a fucker come up from Cali that made me think. I still like to think there is a way out but I get it on some level. Wish in one hand shit in the other I suppose.
A lot of people I know think it's the only way forward. I grew up among military family and patriots and I really want things to work somehow but so many peers I know now really think that's foolish and the only way is that.

I used HOSTS for a while to break the habit. I stayed away for a year before reactivating my mainline just to touch base with family and shit but even then I haven't logged in since like feb. Email works if people really do want to talk to you, you just have to let them know it's the way to reach out. Shitty part nowadays is that a lot of people my age and younger want to use fucking discord, which I hate but its often times the only way to reach out to acquaintances that get the FB thing but don't get it fully.
I miss IRC and even ICQ at this point, or MSN messenger. Just something simple to send a message but everyone younger now things that fuck facebook but boy discord is great! lol fuck that but can be a necessary evil. Only way I can be apart of my weekly neighborhood Civ6 games at this point.

Facebook is shit, everything is so locked down now. You wouldn't believe the trolling we did years ago, networks among people would kind of crop up as with every ban they weren't smart enough to find like names and we'd regroup and keep at it. A lot harder now but Twitter is still ripe.

Can't remember the link now, but it was a mainline site that talked about how they track users and find their next subs where they congregate and then reban it all. Pisses me off that talking of a mainline article was enough to throw away years of contributions....

I've seen a bit on the increased carbon dioxide. Apparently at relatively low levels increased CO2 decreases responsiveness and what not, even to the point that stagnant indoor air should show a measurable impact.
Not sure how well this has been tested but I do believe it to an extent. I always keep a few windows cracked and some fans going at least. If you look it up you find a lot of things talking about atmospheric C02 and it's potential impact on function but I've seen some things posted on just car/house/office impact of limited airflow. Can't find anything good off the top of a bang search but I'm liable to believe considering the extreme effects we see in extreme C02 situations.

The way they all act in concert is really troubling. The Q bans all happening in short order among each network. There has to be something there that opens them up to some sort of enforcement, maybe or probably not but I want to believe this kind of cartel shit can be stopped or slowed.
It's kind of odd to have a singular person instruct such things. IIRC he does maintain a stranglehold on the company but still... This should open up shit, running a company that big as a fiefdom or whatever, it's not right.
