It seems obvious to me as well. I love this board, but we've got a vein of sort of unhinged weirdos. Don't get me wrong, I want such weirdos on our side when it's needed, but they have a tendency to get ahead of the gun, so to speak.
We were never going to undo the fixed election by just walking into the capitol. Be serious, people. You have to use your brain. Take that crazy boldness and then apply it when the time is RIGHT, and the time isn't just right because we know the election is fixed. If they can fix an election, they can quash a band of half cocked weirdos pretty easy.
Look at what they did to get Trump out. Fucked over every country on this planet with this covid business. Used every major media to help Biden. Cheated extensively and obviously in multiple states. Did you think they were going to go to all that trouble and say, "Well there are a bunch of unarmed angry people here, so I guess we have to let Trump win now?"
Many fast food restaurants have many delicious items. Chick Fil A was once considered "the best" because they bested the competition in consistency, accuracy, and customer service. There are many items I like at many restaurants, but I don't go there because they can't be trusted to have the food be relatively fresh, they will mess up my order 9 times out of 10, and they won't really treat me with any appreciation. That is where Chick Fil A used to be superior--in providing food which was trustworthy (i.e. you never got a sandwich which tasted old), they weren't constantly fucking up your order (stealing from you, basically, by not giving you what you'd ordered and paid for), and they always treated you with kindness and respect (I have a local McDonalds where I feel like the employees are literally rude to me--they never smile, they often look like they're glaring at me, and they can't be bothered with so much as a generic "thank you" or "have a nice day," which is like the absolute bare minimum anybody can expect from any fast food place.)
Chick Fil A achieved and maintained all of this superiority without charging more money--to this day they are no more expensive than a junk chain like McDonalds which is only consistent in the poor quality of its overpriced food which they will most likely fuck up.
Chick Fil A has been going downhill since the original founder retired in 2013. The restaurant is becoming less and less exceptional and is slowly creeping towards just being another fast food place. When you see the news stories that they are now open on Sunday you'll know that they have completed their transformation.
Where I live it is absolutely not the Red Cross opening warming centers. They're being organized by local communities and hosted in churches, YMCAs, etc.
Here's a link, search for yourself. No mention of any Red Cross or any other kind of federal (or even state) assistance.
I know two people with cancer who beat it. Don't know anybody who has died and have not heard of any deaths even among my acquaintances. The only stories of death I hear are on the Internet or the news.
Just 24 hrs would have been nice for many people. My parents had no power for 60 hrs straight--only saved by their wood-burning fireplace.
then, talking about "we don't need firearms, standby at this time" 3:30
"We do not need fire on standby at this time."
My best friend (who is sadly not the brightest person) recently posted that she got tested for antibodies and it came back positive. She never had symptoms. Rather than questioning why people have to all put their lives on pause for a disease you can have and not know it until a test six months later, she expressed relief that she had always worn her mask, lest she had unknowingly passed it on to somebody when she was sick and asymptomatic.
Personally such a story makes me think masks are not effective. She wore hers, she got sick, presumably she wasn't hanging around maskless people, yet she got sick--how do you draw from that the conclusion that masks are super duper effective and necessary?
I had a difficult time listening to him after he watched Cuties in order to "dissect the culture" or whatever. He literally watched it the day it was released "for research," and then required the other Daily Wire guys to watch it as well and discuss it. I literally couldn't watch a single DW podcast that day unless I wanted to hear them talk about a show widely regarded of exploiting children....so I stopped listening to them all.
He has a pattern of discussing (and thereby promoting) vulgar things in the name of just discussing the culture (purportedly how bad they are), and after enough of this he just seems like a hypocritical creep who likes to watch pervy stuff and thinks it's okay as long as he's judgmental about it.
The Superbowl Halftime Show, WAP, and Cuties are the three examples I can think of from this past year.
Prepare to be disappointed and do a search. It varies from state to state. In some states there is an automatic recount if the gap is a certain number or a certain percentage. In some states candidates can request a recount, and in others they cannot. From what I saw it looks like Arizona won't get a recount. Several other states might do recounts.
However, the really sad thing is that as far as I can tell, a recount only involves feeding stuff through machines and looking at the numbers again. I didn't see any mention whatsoever about checking to verify people didn't vote multiple times or that dead people did not vote or anything to indicate that there will be any efforts to determine that all counted ballots were received in the correct way by the correct deadline.
I don't see much hope of a recount turning the results around. And I think they are going to purposely cheat to get a comfortable enough win where recounts won't be done.
This has been me. I stayed up until 3 am on election night and went to bed with Trump leading Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia. It would have been enough for him to win.
By the time I woke up, Michigan and Wisconsin were gone. And now Pennsylvania and Georgia will be gone soon as well.
Five states which went from comfortable Trump leads to either close Biden wins or absolutely nail-biting neck-in-neck finishes which are difficult to accept. I'm not 100% in the fraud declaring category. But it's very difficult for an intelligent and informed person to accept as legitimate--unless they like the results. I would've accepted a loss on election night, or even the next morning, but this feels like they are just counting until Biden wins (with a comfortable enough margin to avoid recounts).
I try to be as reasonable as possible about it, but every time I look at the way things are going I feel really insulted that I'm expected to accept this as legitimate. I know for 100% certain that Democrats would be flipping their lids if the situation were reversed. Like we'd be on Day 3 of riots all over the country and the media would be losing their collective shit day after day. I can't believe we went from getting results on Election night to suddenly being okay with it going on for days with votes conveniently completely changing the results and flipping half a dozen states and people are okay with it and think we should all be okay with it. It makes your intelligence feel extremely insulted and like you're living in some weird Twilight Zone. People have gotten really stupid, it's disconcerting to say the least.
You need other people to have children. Otherwise your children will be be responsible for supporting not only you in your old age, but also all the other people who chose not to have kids so they could sleep in, travel or play video games or whatever other dumb reasons they have.
As your generation ages, it will be your children's generation which must support them (through taxes, social security, etc.) As a parent in a world of people opting out, it only increases the burden on your kid(s), who must now take up the slack for the missing offspring. All these people "opting out" are going to eventually get old and require people to look out for them, and they'll have no family to do it. (Look into what it means to have an aging population.)
It is an extremely unflattering picture which is rendered even more unflattering with the shoddy quality you see in this photocopy of a picture of a graffiti of a bad picture you see here. In this image it looks like somebody in blackface for a minstrel show.
Went on a road trip this past week. There were those light-up signs that usually warn of upcoming construction or delays which instead advised us to "practice social distancing both on the road and alone" or some crap. Listening to the radio there was one station which, rather than having useful information transmitted onto the car's radio display (which normally displays the station, the song title and artist), was transmitting advice including but not limited to "COVID-19 IS REAL". Another road-side sign told all of the drivers to stay at home as they were already on the road and headed on a road nobody would be on had they not already chosen to go there--like they think people are just going to turn around in the middle of their journey because of a road-side sign shaming them for doing normal, healthy human things. There were other similar things we saw. Basically they continue to think they must remind us of covid every 5 minutes lest we drift into any feeling resembling peace of mind or normalcy. Like when was the last time a single one of us was permitted to forget for a single day about covid?
Annoying af. I socialized more in this past week than I had for the seven months previous combined and I'll be doing it again for Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's and the weekends in between.
Not even women, but men who dress in stereotypically women's fashions.
Neither of you must be aware of their family history. Their dad was a somewhat notorious bachelor...before he "settled down" with a "twenty year old cutie" (Princes Diana.) Their marriage was notoriously miserable for them both.
Harry should have married a British woman, and if he wanted to marry an American it should have been somebody who didn't play pretend professionally. With some notable exceptions, acting is a disgraceful profession filled with people who utterly fail at personal relationships. Younger and non-divorced would have been nice, too, but neither are as important as being somebody from your country and with a respectable profession.
It's so weird how they consider it "self expression" to render themselves unrecognizable. Two different unnatural hair colors. Flatironed hair (or wig, it's hard to say). Fake eyelashes. Unnatural, fake nails. Scribblings all over body. Extra hole in the nose. Colored in eyebrows to match unnatural hair dye.
That's only real self-expression is you want everyone to know how much you loathe yourself.
There are healthy ways to express yourself through your appearance.
For example, being clean and well groomed in appropriate and well-cared for clothing is a way to express that you have respect for yourself and others. It also reflects that you are a thoughtful person whose personality comes from your true personality, not a costume designed to force others to see you as the character you wish you were.
Did you see her face at the end? She could possibly be somewhat "black." In my experience the most insufferable of the BLM cheerleaders are the vaguely "ethnic" looking women--like Italian. Black hair, brown eyes, white skin, but they seem to think that they're not white because they have a couple dark features.
I know a woman similar to your acquaintance. She's got dark hair and eyes and seems to have a chip on her shoulder against white people (even though she's freaking white.) She's married to a "black" guy (I think he's from DR--and he just looks very vaguely black) and she's the most obnoxious BLMer I have the misfortune of knowing.
She acts like she lives in constant fear of her husband being killed by a random cop. I knew them for years and never even knew he was black. He looks less black than Cory Booker. Such mixed race people are the bread and butter of the Democratic party because they can pretend they're black while never having to actually associate with (or be subordinate to) a real black person. They aren't getting shot by cops, either (probably because they are by definition not fully saturated with black culture.) Barack Obama, Susan Rice, Eric Holder, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris. That color of "beige" is as dark as they're ever willing to go. D's support "black" people to the extent they are white (or Jewish--see the "black guy" Alexis gave up his seat to on Reddit.
She thinks she's constantly being judged by people for being in an interacial marriage--again, the guy is only vaguely black and she's probably got darker hair and eyes than he does, but I guess she thinks people are perturbed that his skin is a couple shades darker max.
There are counties in the Texas/Mexico border which are fairly highly populated.
- Hidalgo: 860k, 7th highest pop in TX
- El Paso: 840k, 8th highest
- Cameron: 423k, 13th highest
- Webb: 274k, 19th highest
For reference, Texas has 254 counties.
That's about 2.4 million people living in just those counties on the border with Mexico, which is about 8% of the Texas population.
I have a kindergartener as well. Her teachers are all doing their best, so I have little to no complaints about them. However, the entire experience is pretty awful, even on the "hybrid learning model" we are stuck with.
I have unceremoniously been designated a part time kindergarten teacher despite receiving no compensation, having no qualifications, no training, and being completely forbidden from even allowing her around other children, which prevents me from providing for her the most important aspect of kindergarten--learning about socialization, interpersonal skills, and the ability to make friends. She can't read. She has no ability to maneuver through the various applications and menus in her laptop to do her "e-learning". It requires me there the whole time reading things for her and instructing her every step of the way. I'm now some weird, bastardized "kindergartener assistant" who just sits and provides constant real-time instruction and assistance while also trying to not actually do any of the work. It is agonizing.
I just finally graduated college in May, but eff my career, right? Because some people are getting sick suddenly every household has to have a stay-at-home parent/teacher on the fly. I consider myself fortunate (one child, two parents with one good breadwinner whose earnings we can live on)--I can't even fathom how bad it is for many people with multiple kids, single parents, or families which require two incomes.
We expect grocery store employees to keep working through this all, doctors are still working, pharmacists and various retail workers are all still working, but somehow we've decided that education for children is now "optional" and not so very important after all. Parents ability to work outside the home? Not so important because somebody may get sick!
Her E-learning is pretty much absolute garbage. They just give her worksheets (which I must explain over and over despite their simplicity--they always have lengthy written instructions which she can't read whatsoever) and she has about three live video conferences which are well-intentioned but basically GARBAGE compared to what she should be receiving. She sits at home and does worksheets, watches assigned youtube videos, and does various educational applications, almost all of which requires the constant presence of a supervising adult who does nothing but sit there and watch every single moment of all of it, so that they can always provide further instruction and assistance.
And the absolute worst part? She's already caught something from school, even with only literally three days being there. She has been nowhere else--she picked up a cold (with all the covid symptoms) within three days of contact with classmates. Despite: hybrid learning model, mandatory masks, plastic separating every desk, everything being cleaned and sanitized, stagger arrival and departure times, staggered hall time, social distancing, separate lunches, and everything else.
It just proved that all these stupid precautions are doing jack shit. I don't know--for all I know she actually had covid, but like most/all children who get it, she was only mildly affected. But if you can get a cold despite all these precautions, I don't see how they think they're going to prevent covid. It's all just nonsense. And now, because she had covid symtpoms--10 days where she can't even go to her 2 days/week in-person learning. She's finishing up 3 weeks since school started and she's attended THREE DAYS in person--and she got a cold. Without COVID that should have been at least ten days of quality in-person education with a few days of absence max.
Our kids' education is getting cut in half in the best case scenarios, and I don't see anybody actually talking about going back to what they deserve. My school did a newsletter which referred to all this garbage as "the new normal" and called all this the "advent" of e-learning--not a temporary situation, but merely the "arrival" of some new garbage system where we fuck our kids out of even a 50% decent education because Grandma Moses needs a few more poor quality years of life.
We're raising an entire generation that is going to be completely socially, emotionally, and educationally stunted because of this shit.
If she were to dress professionally she would remind their voters of the people who interviewed them and didn't hire them or the managers who terminated them.
Democrats are turned off by professionalism, even angered by it. They probably think it is a "white" thing and that the expectation that people dress appropriate is an unneeded relic of European culture.
Incitement.
From this article:
In a statement, Victoria police said “any gathering of this nature is in blatant breach of the chief health officer’s directions and puts Victorian lives at risk”...“Victoria police has already taken action as part of an ongoing investigation into the planning and encouragement of protest activity in Ballarat,” police said in a statement....“Those still thinking of attending the protest in Ballarat on Saturday can expect a swift and firm response from police.”
Excerpt from her law-breaking post (from same article):
“As some of you may have seen the government has gone to extreme measures and are using scare tactics through the media to prevent the Melbourne protest,” the now-deleted event description read....“Here in Ballarat we can be a voice for those in stage four lockdowns. We can be seen and heard and hopefully make a difference!”
I got the talk twice as a white teenager in a mostly white area. First was in driver's ed when I was 15. Second was when I was 16--from a cop, telling me not to goof off and run from cops (my friend was pushing me around in a shopping cart in a strip mall).
Drivers ed teacher flat out told all us white kids that we could get shot if we made a wrong move, no matter how innocent. A quarter of a century later these dumb ass black people are shooting cops with their own tasers and ignoring an officer with a drawn gun to reach into their vehicle, like they never watch the news a day in their lives. That guy in Tulsa got shot for less and the cop was found not guilty--just fucking pay attention to something that matters for ten minutes of your life. If a person has a gun, don't be a dumb shit.
i like seeing her cry
Me, too. Watching this video brings hope that things aren't completely lost. It made me feel almost zen-like. Calm, peaceful, relaxed...it's not so easy coming by those feelings these days.
Yussssss, holy crap that had me cringing so hard as soon as the words came out of her mouth. There is no proof that what happened to George Floyd was racially motivated and here, a judge interviewing for the highest position in her line of work, was letting us all know that she was ready to consider a person guilty in the absence of evidence and believed in unproven nonsense, all based on emotions.
"Given that I have 2 black children that was very, very personal to my family."
Ugh, that excerpt has been haunting me this whole time. Were it not for time constraints we should have withdrawn her nomination right then and there. But as bad as she is, she's better than the black trans illegal immigrant antifa lesbian Biden would have nominated.
So glad I can finally be out in the open about how much she made my skin crawl.
