I'm in a discussion on a another post about this exact same subject that was posted on here an hour or so ago. But in the title the poster is saying the cops were wrong for what they did. I asked the poster "what should the cops have done differently given the circumstances" and he responded with no answer to the question and says multiple wrong things about what happened then accuses me of being cold hearted and having a psychotic break. I responded back correcting his inaccuracies and asked him why he resulted to ad hominem so quickly to which he hasn't responded to for over an hour. I don't agree they were intentionally waterboarding him or if they even were. There was minimal water on the street and the laughter was from other cops behind the cop that was trying to figure out if the dude was passed out and not responding. They could've been like "that was funny when that guy said look at this dick haha" talking to each other, which it was kinda funny. Did you actually watch the whole video or did you just read the headline and assume they were laughing at him because he was passed out. I'm not trying to be a dick about it I'm just generally curious. The cops that were laughing didn't really seem to be laughing at the guy passed out

All that info is in the article of what the medical examiners report said. This all happened back in March and nothing has really come from it. Which to me means the the officers weren't really at fault. The EMT even says herself in the video it was more than likely excited delirium from PCP and it wasn't the cops fault. Even the medical examination said one of the causes of death was from PCP. This is also old news I've seen this video months ago and there hasn't even been any riots from it or BLM making a fuss about it

Idk it takes more water than the minimal amount that's on the street to waterboard someone. After watching this video 6 times I heard them laugh when they ask themselves if he's puking and then they say "aw is that straight water?" Then you can tell how they're kinda shocked talking to each other and seeing if he's still responsive and are baffled almost how he was out quickly

I asked a question. What should they have done instead? I didn't hear the officers say anything about his privates but I heard the guy himself reference his dick then they laughed. He was telling them to give him their gun then started to get up that's when they restrained him further just like the training pictures that Derrick Chauvin is using in his case. What would you suggest they have done instead? Continue to let him act crazy in the middle of the street and keep spitting at them which could give him the chance to do something else that could cause himself or someone else harm. I just don't see really any other options cops have in situations like these with drugged out people that can have an excited delirium that makes them hulk out and crazy that can cause harm to officers or other people

Could you point me in the right direction of that State statute. I'm currently in a discussion with someone about the whole situation and would be nice to have that info

This is what I pretty much came here to say. Myself and and pretty much all my friends smoke weed and never even touched other drugs or even drink alcohol. Lots of smart affluent and successful people smoke weed. People that end up using harder drugs would've sought hard drugs despite smoking marijuana first due to their upbringing, lack of self control or whatever "demons" that haunt them. It's unfair that people go to jail over the use of a plant and idk probably 50% of workers have to pay for fake urine kits to get jobs and then worry about losing their jobs if they get popped for randoms or accidentally injured on the job for something they use to destress, curb anxiety, ease pain, when Jon Doe can drink a 12 pack every night and not even have to worry about shit. Alcohol is by far worse than marijuana IMO. Nobody gets belligerently high and starts shit and fights with people in bars/clubs or beats their wife or kids or blackouts while driving and goes head into another car or spends the night heaving their guts out and wakes up feeling like death with a headache.
