I own a small trucking company that is contracted with a Fortune 500. If we did not fulfill our duties on any given day we would lose our contract. My business is my life's work. I am all for this trucking strike I just don't know how feasible it is. 10s if not 100s of millions of dollars would be needed to facilitate this for the truckers and their families. Remember, they don't drive trucks because they are independently wealthy and they enjoy it. They do it to put food on the table. The big companies don't employ us anymore because they can save money by contracting the work out. Your business can't get it done? They will find somebody that will. Don't bother coming back though. Even if they couldn't find somebody they won't call you. An extremely robust crowdsource would have to be fully funded before 75% of truckers would even think about a strike.
We have to fund them to do it.
