Exactly and that was with only a third of the colonists working with them AND convincing French to send troops and officers plus funds and arms. Even then we needed von Steuben, a Prussian minor aristocrat and officer, a Polish Calvary officer who’s name escapes me at the moment, and the Marquis de Lafayette, to train the Continental Army to actually be capable of fighting. Militia are only good at policing and defending small pockets of territory. We need to be on the offensive which requires a professional or semi-professional army.

And how often do uprisings ACTUALLY work? Most of the time, it’s quickly crushed by the army because, guess what, people prefer stability and order. The rare times an uprising succeeds, how often does it implode? Hell, I see a lot of people on here arguing for secession. Ya know what that means? You’re now your own country. Country’s need borders, supply for domestic and military goods, internal and external surveillance (if you think there was ever a civilization or country that didn’t have spies and secret police, congratulations you failed history since even George Washington had spy rings such as the Culper Ring), and so on.

Okay. How’s it going for the unexpected museum visitors? They are having pre Dawn no knock raids and NO ONE is protecting them. Until you have a resistance movement that can physically and resource wise protect would be dissidents, don’t count on shit changing. We are on the Right cause we see things for how they are and not how we want them to be right? Well, we need logistics, political power (including our own groomed or made politicians who can run a town, a county, a state, etc.) ACTUALLY TRAINED TROOPS (militia LARPing in the woods don’t count unless you think they can stand up to an army unit) and so on.

Think: We’re making a new nation state, what does a nation state need? Raw resources, internal security, an army/external security, finances, and foreign support/allies.

And had foreign backing and the ability to send diplomats. Do we have that? Do we have the ability to raise funds and produce our own supplies? Do we have secure supply lines? You guys need to stop think purely of guns and ammo and think logistics and strategy. Otherwise you’ll be the idiots from Les Miserables:
