I seem to remember two stories about that. One was that the flagbearer was seen returning to a hotel filled with RCMP.
The other story I recall was the guy waving the flag viewed the Castreau government as fascist Nazis and the flag was meant to represent the government. Protestors told him he was hurting the cause by waving a Nazi flag and drove him off.
Both based off memory so either or both could be wrong.
Does the Union really think they got car companies where they want them? That they're eventually going to budge and say "ok, fine, you can just work one day less a week but we'll pay you like you worked 5, and waaay more money for each day too".
I understand electric cars are associated with rabid environmentalism. And that's not an unfair association as these idiots love them despite likely being worse for the environment (mining, etc.) and still reliant on carbon energy with the plug as a middleman to grant them the appearance of (fake) virtue for driving one.
That aside, electric cars are often a superior product. The Tesla Model Y is now CHEAPER than the average vehicle and Tesla continues to drive down prices. Electric vehicles are also showing an exponential growth curve in terms of adoption. By 2030 EVs are trending towards being the far and away majority of vehicle sales, without need for government bans on electric cars.
Ford and other auto manufacturers are playing catch up and can't produce EVs at a profit. If these manufacturers don't learn the EV game quickly, they're destined for bankruptcy.
I've been heavily invested in TSLA for years (primarily for FSD and AI over vehicle sales). I follow all this. This is reality. Tesla is continuing to drive costs down and will have a Model 2 in the next few years projected to cost half as much as a Model 3 to produce (which is cheaper than the Model Y which is already cheaper than the average vehicle price). Ford needs to invest heavily to catch up.
Blind adoration of everything Ukraine leads to shit like this. I don't care that a Nazi was accidentally honored by a western government. Everyone knows they wouldn't do that knowingly, even if they actually liked the Nazis.
I care that they are clearly fucking idiots who don't think or conduct any due diligence before jumping into making decisions regarding Ukraine. It's just blind support of anything Ukraine does.
If I understand correctly, this guy was being honored because he fought Russians during WW2? That there was never any misunderstanding of this and no one thought to stop for a moment and question why we'd be honoring someone who fought against our then ally? Not a single person even paused at this?
