Normies don't give a shit what Lin Wood says, and those in power have no need to prove him wrong because of this. It's like asking why no one in power is suing the crazy bearded guy on the street corner dressed in rags carrying a 'the end is nigh' sign.
It's not because they are afraid of what he might say, it's because the general public ignores it.
He may be right (I am not judging on the merits here), or he may not; but why fight it if you don't need to prove him wrong? Just ignore him like everyone else...

Try this if you're worried. Go out and buy your own modem. Return the one provided and avoid the monthly charge to use theirs. Not sarcasm. I did this and feel better about owning my own equipment.
