I didn't intend "people on our side" to mean the population. I was thinking of a few individuals or groups rising up and having their actions be used as an excuse to squash us further. Growing up, my father made sure I understood the importance of the Constitution, and he always said the Second Amendment would be the last one they would come for. Maybe that would get people to rise up. Maybe.
