I agree with a lot of what you said. The action required to solve a lot of the corruption issues you speak of can be characterized as diffusing power to the lowest possible level and decentralizing it. For instance, get rid of the 17th amendment. You will notice that prior to the implementation of this amendment congressmen rotated quite regularly and term limits weren’t needed but after the implementation it made it much easier to bribe politicians and keep them in office. The next idea would be to dramatically downscale the size of the federal government. Remove or dramatically reduce the executive agencies and force congress to do their jobs. Push any remaining federal agencies to different parts of the country so that they can not stew in the cesspool that is dc.
