Yes, that question was said in jest. I would never give a kid an "A" just because they agree with me.

Thanks! I look forward to the rest of the year with this young one!

She could do it! She is very smart. After the parent conference with her parents last night, her dad struck me as a Trump supporter. I could tell just how he talked about how he raises his kids!

I wish all the republicans that voted for Trump would sign the recall for newsom. Then maybe we would get somewhere. Guess it ain’t bad enough here for people.

You’re so welcome! I love that I was able to help you. I know that with 100% certainty that you will find the answers you’re looking for. May I recommend the site “gotquestions.org”. It’s a biblically centered site that has answered thousands upon thousands of questions related to Christ and general questions about God. I know that you would benefit from it!

Knowing Christ means that you have a relationship with Him. Yes, it’s hard to have a relationship with someone when you can’t physically see them. However, Christ has given us all of the things we need to know Him. Mainly, His Living Word, which is the Bible. When people spend time reading the Bible, they can’t help but know Jesus. The reason for that is because it’s His letter that He has written to us. When we read the Bible, we get to know Him for who He is. It’s an amazing thing to experience; when a person honestly goes to the Bible searching, and God Himself, reveals who He is. Christ crucified is exactly that. Jesus Christ giving up His life willingly to atone for our sins. When Adam and Eve sinned, they made the decision that every human after them would make. God’s plan from before time was for His son, Jesus, to take our place. Meaning that He took the punishment of our sins upon Himself so that we wouldn’t have to. The reason He did this is, being sinful people, we would never have been able to spend eternity with Christ in Heaven. So He made the only way by giving His life. All people need to do is believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only Son, that He died for us, that He was perfect and without fault, and we too will spend eternity in Heaven with Him. Jesus was the only One who could give His life because He never sinned. He was the perfect sacrifice. He loves us that much. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

I actually think his official schedule is posted online. I looked at it once a while back and it was fairly accurate.

I would agree with you. I live in the Central Valley and there are a lot more Trump signs than Biden signs in my neighborhood. The enthusiasm that I’ve seen is unreal. In my small town of about 13,000 people, there was a small line of about 30-40 cars driving down Main Street with Trump flags waving from their cars. That’s unheard of in my town, even tho we are mostly conservative. In a larger town this past weekend there was a truck rally for Trump. There were probably close to 500 trucks in the parking lot, all supporting Trump with flags. I really think Ca has a large silent majority. Hopefully it’s enough to make a difference.

Spread the word. Sign the recall if you live in CA.

The district I work in in CA did not allow teachers to retain ANY students last school year. ALL students moved to the next grade no matter if they passed or failed previous quarters. I had two students that should have been retained, but nope.

I’m a third grade teacher in CA. Right now my district has no plans to go back to in-person learning until January. I’m so incredibly disappointed. I have 20 students in my class, and while most of them do login and attend class, I know more than half are playing around on their computers. They have games and other tabs open to YouTube. They also have access to the chat feature on Teams. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve caught students chatting with one another during class. I’m able to have them share their screens with me and I can check what they’ve been doing. It has helped a little, but many still mess around. These kids are not getting the majority of what I teach. Out of 20 kids, I had 8 pass the math test I gave Friday. Not great.

It does make me wonder. I haven't pushed too hard, but my best friend has conservative views and she doesn't vote. I wonder how many people are like that in the state and if they would make a difference if they voted....

Lol. I will give you that they do not have bacon. My best friend worked there for about 5 years as we went through college, she told me that In-N-Out is all about tradition. From day one they have had three things on the menu, and it works very well for them! Here in CA they are always busy no matter what time. Not too long ago I was waiting in line, and I kid you not, I counted 32 cars in line. Drivers were zig-zagging up and down the aisles in the parking lot. If I am ever in Texas, I will check out Whataburger.

I didn't know that. I feel like this one has been making the rounds a bit more. My small town of 12,900 people has had numerous businesses that allow people to come and sign the recall. I think all of my family finally made it to sign.

Why does that not surprise me? I have to drive under the thing every day as I go to work. Wish I could snap my fingers and the thing would be gone. Such a waste.

Too bad people from other states can't sign the recall for Newsom. The one going right now may not make it with enough signatures. Spread the word!

That burger is worth it! In-N-Out is the best! I live in CA (central valley), and I really want the state to turn red just like everyone else. However, if we don't turn red, then I am looking forward to seeing if Trump gets more votes this year than 2016. Now that I would bet a burger on!

I think “hate” is a pretty strong word. For myself personally, it’s just a difference of opinion. I wouldn’t want to share that difference of opinion with my significant other tho.

Exactly, so why do that? Why not just be upfront?

2
Jdw89 2 points ago +2 / -0

lol! That's a great idea! Trump doesn't make his way to CA very often though.

I believe that since you have that desire to host and be a leader, that God will open that door for you. All you need to do is prepare and get ready. I've thought of joining a larger church, but not sure that's the thing to do. Indeed! Too bad we are not closer. I will say a prayer that you find your special someone as well, and soon!

Truly sorry for your loss. Don't give up hope though. You still have so much to offer!
