What difference would it make to you if you were "honored"? If you put up everything you have, you do it because it's right, not because of how you will be treated. You don't even do it for the outcome. I will fight against being enslaved to my dying breath, and it never has crossed my mind what society or my next door neighbor thinks. I dont want ti be a slave. I would rather die. Just in the last 3 months, I've stood up to people screaming in my face, shoving me, hacking me, threatening my business and damaging my stock, calling police on me, and police. It's hard and afterwards I go home and cry, but I'm not going to stop telling the truth, or submit to tyrants whether petty or large.
I'm nothing but an old and powerless widow woman. You weaklings disgust me. You have not even begun to grasp what it is to be an American. You're too selfish, lazy and cowardly. Brave people make sacrifices. What happens next isn't their concern.
I know some students at several different universities, and they are all furious, because they do not ever meet in person. They're paying for housing they dint need, because no on campus events. All "meetings" are by zoom (no classes, just meetings), last about 30 minutes once every week and are often cancelled. Tuition is still the same. No use of campus ammenities. Worst complaint: "I'm not learning anything!"
Yet they will earn degrees and enter fields they arent qualified for. This angers these kids enormously. These schools need to lose their accredation.
The founders all put their famalies at risk. Many of them lost everything they had, including their wives and kids, who were driven out of their homes, imprisioned, dies of disease and cold, etc. None of them backed down. There is nothing dictatorial about loyalty, nothing sane about fear.
I am in FL right now (60°) where I came because the Gov says no masks required - only to be assaulted by mask enforcers everywhere! In the conservative panhandle the public is mostly without masks, but I havent eaten in 2 days because I cant find a restaurant to let me in. I cant wait to get home to the ice and snow.
Its crushing to know the American people are over.
The prospect of a constitutional convention has lost a lot of shine since so many "conservative" state legislatures showed their corrupt core during the 2020 vote certifications. We should have no confidence that ANY of our states will be true.
He signed the law defining and criminalizing sexual harrassment, as he was being sued for sexual harrassment by a former employee - he pulled out his junk and propositioned on the job. Then to avoid the consequences he lied to a grand jury and paid off Lewinski to prevent her from telling about having sex with her, because the woman who was suing him was trying to establish that he had a habit of sex with employees. He gave her a line of lies to tell the jury, which is called suborning perjury, and offered her a UN job to be quiet. Average perjury conviction brings a 5 year sentence.
Excellent expression of the thoughts and feelings I share with you. I thank God he gave me Rush for the last 32 years, to help me learn, help me to laugh, remind me to reason. My heart is sore, but I am happy for him...all of a life is really only a few short minutes - we are literally like the grass that grows and withers in a day. Its not long til we pass through to experience the great joy the Lord has for us, if we trust in him. Rush often acknowledged the Lord, so we have good hope that we will meet him as our brother in the place of true liberty.
Never believe that the politicians havent always known that manmade ("green") energy as it exists cant meet our needs. They always have all the numbers provided by all sides before voting, but they dont base decisions on the public good. Hold them accountable!
There are state public utilities commissions in every state that give certain advantages to utilities in exchage for steady production. Extreme cold is not an excuse - they hit 100 year lows today but they have to be prepared for 500 year lows. This is doable with fossill fuels because they can be physically stockpiled in the offseason at lower prices. I dont know to what extent wind and solar can be efficiently stored.
Energy is the post heavily regulated industry in the U.S. They dont have the option of faoling. Contact state PUCOs and tear into them. Hold them accountable.
Yep. I worked in energy for years, power cos. have a legal responsibility to provide power. Its not an option. In return they get tax breaks, price support, etc. If they fail they should lose their license and be replaced by competitors. Its a good system thats worked for 100 years until federal "green" mandate interference.
During the civil war the country was literally and politically divided. Both sides considered themselves proud Americans, thought the other side tyrants or traitors. The war itself is what we think of, but this was an awful, ongoing situation for decades before the shooting started.
Interesting to remember that the north and south remained ay great enmity for a hundred years. I well remember as a kid in the early 60s how the southern states voted as a block (the blue dog democrats) and were very hostile to "yankees" passing through. They taught their kids a mythology of honor v tyranny that lasted long after the last vet had died.
Wrong. Communist countries in the 20th century all experienced economic collapse. It did nothing but strengthen the tyrants. When people are hungry they sell out their neighbors for 1 day's ration. They are too weak and powerless to fight.
Economic collapse hurts the people, not the elites.
