Who gets the armed forces? Who would stop China/Russia from attacking the new country? What happens to the military bases? Are there any nuclear launch sites in the seceded territories and if so what happens with them? If secession happened, the the seceded country would no longer have protection of the constitution from US military attack. Like many things that sound to good to be true, this one is on top.
