I disagree that this was a reaction. This Big Tech purge was absolutely planned, with meticulous care; and it has been in the works since Trump won in 2016.

Think back to the shitstorm reaction to Trump’s victory. Remember the technology conference where industry leaders practically wept and begged forgiveness, and how they solemnly promised that we must not ‘allow’ something like a Trump victory to ever happen again? I remember. I’d say look it up on DDG or YouTube, but I am almost certain that the record has already been scrubbed.

Here’s the thing about Bush Sr., though: Reagan knew perfectly well where ‘Poppy’ stood. ‘Voodoo economics’ was a Bush taunt during the primaries, remember. Things got nasty. The GOP base was essentially split between them, though; and Reagan needed the party united solidly behind him in order to win the election. So, from the very beginning, the Reagan administration was an uneasy coalition. I remember that time well.

Pence was a relative unknown. I had thought (hoped, prayed) that Pence was an ideological fellow traveler; and he did pay lip service to America First when pressed. But like all false friends, when the moment of truth arrived, Pence abandoned his President and cast his lot with the prevailing Swamp.

I would have expected this from a member of the Bush family. Not necessarily from a seemingly principled man like Mike Pence.

Nearly all politicians, with very few exceptions, are Machiavellian opportunists. Being consistent and having principles marks you as a naif in the DC swamp. That’s not how you remain in office for half a century or more. What the plebs call ‘caving,’ politicians call ‘compromise.’

In the view of leading Republicans now, Trump is effectively out of the picture. Democrats are calling the tune now, and for many years to come; so these Republicans pull up the hem of their pants and jig like DC is fiddler’s green.

Harley ‘tries to avoid politics,’ and says the company is all about ‘uniting’ people; but corporate is woke. Which is very sad for family-owned dealerships that have been selling Harleys for years.

Tragically, this is the culture now. It’s not just Harley-Davidson. Virtually all major brands have to pay lip service to wokeness, to diversity and ‘fighting systemic racism,’ etc. MyPillow may very well be the last hold-out. Don’t be surprised when retailers like Bed Bath and Beyond decide to no longer sell MyPillow products because Mike Lindell is ‘racist’ (i.e., a Christian white guy and Trump supporter).

Excellent post, sir. This is exactly right.

The history of the end of WWII and the start of the Cold War is depressing as hell. The Russians were (and arguably, still are) absolute bastards.

I know that Russians are culturally based, and that they are nationalists just like we are; and I’m willing to fight alongside Russians against globalism; but I simply do not trust them. I’m with Patton on this one.

Alinsky tactics 101: Accuse your opponents of doing exactly what you’re doing to put them on the defensive.

The Republican Party and controlled opposition like Fox News fall for this every time. I swear to God, until Donald Trump came along, the GOP was on the defensive 24/7/365 since the 1980’s. Aside from notable exceptions like Ted Cruz, they still haven’t learned.

It is, actually. Zack Galafinakis plays against ttype as an upstart, outsider Republican running against a corrupt Democratic swamp creature played to perfection by Will Ferrell. The movie is funny and relevant on a number of levels.

Mass shooting by ‘far-right white supremacist’ who was ‘radicalized by Trump’s rhetoric.’

The shooter will actually be non-white; and 4chan will recover his scrubbed social media history which reveals he actually hated Trump; but the details won’t come out until after the election, after the electoral damage is done.

The FBI is priming this fool right now.

Because only the navy would have something as gay as a crossing-the-equator ceremony involving ‘shellbacks’ and ‘pollywogs’ and other weird nonsense that seamen are too embarrassed to discuss in polite company.

Strange how many AR-15s will be lost in mysterious boating accidents or other unexplained circumstances should a tax like that ever go on the books.
