Varies from person to person. Read the room. Are they genuinely curious? Are they a condescending asshole?
30% of the time I find people are confused. The media lies with impunity and normal people don’t have the time or autism to follow politics religiously. They want to hear you, even if condescending. In this case I explain the irregularities the best I can, and say I believe he will win, and I guess we’ll find out in the courts.
35% of the time it’s the wokescold crowd. At this point, anytime I get scolded by the woke crowd i am as mean and brutal as I can be. The thing is, it’s not difficult to beat these people in a “debate” because they’re brain dead. But, you need to rip away their moral superiority complex if you want to have any effect on them at all. I do this if in public places where people can see. If it’s just one on one I usually don’t waste my time with these religious zealots.
35% of the time are the people who agree with me but are not as disagreeable. I find temporary solace with these people, encourage them to be more vocal, and carry on.
Ben did the same thing w/ the Russia collusion bullshit. Refuse to look past the Overton window set by the other side. Drove me nuts.
By any measure, it is irrational and unreasonable to assume our enemy is acting in good faith. That’s what he’s missing. I think he’s in denial.
