.22 is not a reliable for self defense, don't kid yourself that you can be that accurate in a high stress situation. 9mm JHP rounds are the minimum you should consider in my opinion. I have a Glock but personally prefer a manual safety.

I have done several FOIAs and even took some training classes on it,and you are correct. They are exempt under Exemption 7.
