it's important to distinguish between the leadership of a country and its people. Some places such as Pakistan are full of crazy muslims and if anything the leaders are more moderate than the average person. Conversely, in somewhere like Iran, there's actually a hell of a lot of sane normal people, all of whom are forced to live under and insane government which doesn't really reflect most of the country.
