I feel ya. I had always worked in diverse places with a wide variety of backgrounds and opinions.
I changed jobs last year. Somebody brought up politics, and I made the mistake of assuming that the dude wanted to have an interesting debate and discussion. Well, I was wrong. The small, 30-person company is hard, hard left. Pays well, but it’s lonely.
Of course it’s a coup. It’s been one for three fucking years. This is the final push. I don’t think it’ll work, but they’re in desperation mode. Rioting to protest police brutality just happens to be the ace up their sleeve when all the other bullshit fails.
Seriously, if what we’ve seen isn’t a coup, then what the shit does a “real” coup look like?
Sure, just make sure it’s done theatrically and publicly, and repeatedly remind all viewers that these are statues of Democrats.
