They did that where I work. A bunch of people complained including liberals because they didn't like getting called racist. I filed an EEOC complaint because the training was basically white people and culture bad. The day before they interviewed me for my complaint they stopped the training. Most places don't like the threat of a lawsuit. Oh and I was told I couldn't really file the complaint because i don't consider myself white. Next time I call I will say i am a white Hispanic.
Not sure if you are a troll or not but you are missing the point. No body knows for sure how the courts would rule if Pence just threw out the electors because of fraud , pending litigation or changes in the law by everybody but the legislators of the states. People are hoping Pence will step up and play this how the democrats did the election. They made unconstitutional changes that have held up so far because courts don't want to rule on any of the merits. Pence challenging would force them to do so. There is also very little risk to Pence if he does this. At worst it gets overturned. At best it works and he remains vice president. If the democrats were in this situation they wouldn't hesitate to try this method.
If this is true, Pence should settle out of court. Take a page out of the democrat playbook.

Normally the two parties meet and chose candidates from their own parties but I don't see anything that says they can't choose someone from the other party. By choosing someone that will say controversial things and putting a spotlight on everything they don't want a spotlight on, they will benefit because Americans don't like what they are selling. The vote itself for speaker is a simple majority so if they can pull enough away from the other Dem candidate republicans get to choose who is the Dem leader and Dem voice.
This is actually smart on the legislators part. If they just do it themselves it would be appealed and get stuck in court and likely wouldn't be resolved until after the electors vote for Biden. Sealing the fraud and Biden's victory. By skipping everything and going straight to the Supreme Court they avoid that and likely get the result they want. This is a huge win if they pull it off.

It isn't about consistency. It is about optics. It is good politics in this situation to hire someone. You have a very good reason to do so and firing them looks really bad for you opposition. It becomes a win/win for us.
