Trump needs to start his own social media empire and lead the fight against these people. Without him, or a new leader in his place, most people (including a lot of you here, you know who you are) will fall into their tired, tribalistic ways.
Oh, you know, gotta vote Republican. Sure, they fucked me in the ass and made an example of Donald Trump for making them look bad, but they're still better than the democrats. They fight for gun rights, even know they supported gun control legislation. And Ted Cruz was fighting against social media censorship! He said some stern words! I mean sure, he didn't do anything practical but that's more than everyone else did!
Don't be that guy. Make these fuckers earn their vote. And no support to anyone who stood by the sham in 2020, ever, no matter what.
To play Devil's advocate, I'm sure he has to, simply to prevent glowies from shutting the site down. Don't forget that Cloudflare (the DDOS protection used by TheDonald) dropped 8chan (and killed the site for several months as a result) due to threats of violence being posted on the site.
If you say "when", then that's an admission and will immediately rally democrats (voters and politicians) to act. Why would you reveal that kind of card?
I'm not fully confident in Pence, but this is not the reason to lose faith.
Many Republicans are too stupid to realize that Trump's support is not some "passing fad", and that their willingness to lose will destroy the party and the country as it stands.
I sincerely hope that Mike Pence is smarter than that. I wish I could say I believe in him, but this election has outed far too many traitors for us to be confident.
Vote for them this time, somewhat begrudgingly. And if the Republicans fuck you in the ass in two days, then don't worry, there won't even be a Republican party that could fuck you again after that.
That's the basic theory, yeah. The debate comes in as to whether rejected electors count or not. The number 270 is only significant because that's the majority of electors in a regular election. If some are rejected, then the possibility is that the count of 270 is lowered. Someone with actual legal knowledge would have to address this though, it's just a theory I saw.
I assume Pence can throw the votes out (and choose to certify alternatives). Democrats would object but the only way to overturn that would be a court case, probably SCOTUS. Would they choose to not get involved again, or would they conveniently find that this is important enough to meddle in? Your guess is as good as mine.
This is questionable (possibly). I've seen some interpretations state that, since the winner is the one who receives the majority of electoral votes, rejected votes would simply mean that Biden needs a smaller threshold than 270. If Pence rejected WI, MI, PA, GA and AZ, under this interpretation, Biden would still win because he'd have 233 to Trump's 232.
It's just one interpretation, I have no idea how much validity it holds but I've seen it tossed around a few places. I believe this can be overcome if Pence chooses to certify alternative electors instead.
It's by design. Border Patrol asked for the wall to be see-through like this, among other things, because it helps them catch illegals. Trump obliged.
It is clear that the only person that actually wants the Republican Party to win is Donald Trump. Near everyone else in the party is excited to lose, probably because they'll get paid either way. Perdue and Loeffler certainly don't want to win.
The masks. Took me a second too.
American flags.
Long story short, imageboards (notably 4chan back in the mid-2000s) used various shorthands to note that something was funny. You're familiar with LOL no doubt, popular worldwide abbreviation, so they'd use LEL instead. Then JEJ became fairly widely used, and so did KEK later on. KEK, however, ended up being a deeper meme, as there is a Greek God of chaos under that name that looks like a frog, tying nicely into Pepe the Frog.
That was a real story not too long ago. A&W Restaurants had 1/3 pounders to compete with McDonald's quarter pounder for the same price and they had to drop it because people thought that 1/3 was less than 1/4.
Oh, I agree. These two have done absolutely nothing to deserve their votes, but now is unfortunately not the time to play political games. Starting 2022, we either toss these people out the fucking party and completely reform the GOP, or make a new party and decimate the GOP that way. But we've gotta plan for it instead of fucking ourselves in protest.
I'll take "passively against" rather than "actively against".
If you wanna work on a MAGA party for 2022/2024, sure, and it could be a solid idea. But we don't have that now, and barring that, we don't have much of an option to be picky. A Trump presidency with a Dem Congress and Senate will basically mean two years of nothing happening, and while RINOs hate Trump, McConnell does occasionally persuade them to support at least SOME of Trump's policies.
I'll take the odd victory over two to four years of active resistance and probable impeachment attempts.
People have been saying that elector challenges have to be voted on by both the house and the senate, does that apply here? And if not, what situation would that occur on?
And while Pence does have the power to reject electors, does he have the power to pick which ones to approve? My understanding was that this fell to the courts, which would pick electors sent by the legislature (which, again, as I understand, is not what's happening here as the electors are being sent by the GOP and not the legislature in all three states so far).
Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, there's been a lot of conflicting information, misinformation and the daily happenings and contradictions have made it near-impossible to follow, especially for a foreigner such as myself.
Why even keep parties at that rate? Fuck parties, fuck lobbyists and fuck China. Let people promote themselves and their own independently formed ideas. There's much debate that can be had about a myriad of topics and we've even seen pants-on-head-retarded Democrats occasionally propose a good idea, like Tulsi's support of pulling out of wars and reforming Section 230.
Do not forget that George Washington despised political parties and never wanted to see them form in the United States. He even said so in his farewell address.
"Just wear a mask bro!" - Cuomo.
"Democracy! Democracy! Accept democracy, even if you don't like it!"
"By the way, the guy who got democratically elected in 2016 is a dictator."
Which is it, Brennan?
Covid's hardly any more dangerous than the flu, with perhaps a few odd symptoms and being potentially slightly more contagious. However, OP's Grandpa ticks the boxes for every point that puts him "at risk". A strong wind would be able to knock over most people in that kind of health situation, so OP's Grandfather is a strong man regardless.
He raped the constitution, that's for sure.
Sure, but can you find 50 GOP who are actually worthy of being part of the Trump party? I can hardly think of a dozen. Most GOP have shown themselves to be swamp people of the worst kind.
