I had an epiphany the other day. All these idiots running around doing stupid shit? I literally paid for their education. Same with anyone who went and got Federal Student Loans. I literally paid for them to sit in class and learn about vaginas or something.
And now I'm pretty much over the idea of public education. Free school for everyone is a joke. Especially when I have no say in how my money is being used. I don't have kids so if I say anything I get told to sit down and shut up.
I'm planning on home schooling when I have children, but that doesn't change the fact that I will STILL be paying for everyone else's kids to go to school and not learn anything.
A nation of victims who are more than happy to try to vote in a bread-line loving communist because he promised free college.
Being self-employed is even worse. You've got both income tax AND self-employment taxes. It's supposed to cover the half of the taxes that your employer normally pays, but the self-employment tax doesn't care if your self-employment income was so pitiful that you don't have to pay income tax. You STILL have to give Uncle Sam his cut. And he's a greedy POS.
If it's private property then you don't have to justify wanting someone removed from it. If I'm hosting a party and I ask someone to leave (even though I invited them) and they refuse to leave, I can call the cops and have them removed for trespassing. It's trespassing because I no longer want that person on my property.
Obviously, I agree the mask mandates are idiotic and shouldn't be a reason to eject someone but that's neither here nor there. In the end, she was asked to leave and didn't and was therefore trespassing.
I'm not defending this guy's use of force, his use of the taser, or his handling of the situation in any way. I'm not defending the people who wanted her removed from the property. But this lady really didn't have a right to be there once they asked her to leave.
Probably a school resource officer.
Even better. You sue the school or whoever employed that security guard. You've got video footage and a crap load of witnesses on your side. You fight them in a court where all of their shit gets made public and force people to face the reality that they've created.
Edit: Going back over the video though, it's clear that this guy is actually a cop. Probably a school resource officer or something. He clearly mishandled the situation whatever the case.
Yes. Comply. Call up the best lawyer you can find and they'll sue the shit out of the city and anyone else they can. If you're truly innocent, then you can only profit from complying. The only reason to resist arrest is if you're guilty and even then, that's only going to make your life worse and possibly get you killed.
Finding other Trump supporters is basically like using the old Christian Ichthys in some places.
Someone, I don't know who, paid to have a Thin Blue Line flag billboard put up. Right on a major road through the heart of one of the most liberal cities in my area. It warms my heart every time I see it.
That's actually a really interesting detail that I would never have picked up on. Also, accurate user name.

But a quick summary is that people started saying he looks like Pooh which pissed him off. So he banned Pooh in China. Which mostly resulted in people calling him Pooh Bear even more.
Doubtful, since you can sign up without even providing an email. Unless they've installed analytics software (which I'm reasonably confident they haven't) there's no way to get that information.
Honestly, I think a lot of health issues would be solved if more people tried to eat locally. It might sound a little hokey to some, but food raised in your region tends to be more resilient to ailments that are common in your area. Honey from local bees (truly local, like less than 10 miles from where you live) have been proven to help reduce allergies.
I have PCOS which, if you don't know, is mostly an issue relating to insulin resistance. So I've been doing everything in my power to avoid sugars and carbohydrates to combat it. When you start reading labels you realize that they put sugar in literally everything. Even things you wouldn't expect to find sugar in. Why? Because sugar is addictive and as long as you are addicted to it you're going to keep buying mass produced cereals and breads. The whole "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" thing was the result of a study that was funded by Kellog's. No conflict of interest there...something similar happened with the food pyramid, where carbs are the largest section of the pyramid.
I'm not saying that everyone needs to swear off sugar and stop eating all carbs, but I do believe we need to be more aware of what we're consuming. Where's it coming from, what's in it, and what effect is it going to have on my body?
But, anyway, thank you for supporting local farms! All of the farmers I know are hardworking people who truly want to provide people with fresh, healthy food that has no additives. When you buy ham from a local butcher that was grown by a local farmer you can be relatively confident that it hasn't been injected with sugar first.
The biggest issue that I have with pesticides and herbicides is that they actually result in overall weaker plants that are more prone to disease and less able to compete for sun and nutrients. This is kind of a bad thing when you're a small farm that harvests and weeds everything by hand.
Also, our neighbors raise honey bees and they requested that we not use pesticides on our plants so that the bees aren't affected. Which is an entirely reasonable request, especially since we'd planned to do that anyway.
I feel like maybe my original comment came off a little too mocking. Truthfully, veggies grown on the vine, sun ripened, and picked that day are second to none. There is definitely a difference when the farmer is focusing on quality over quantity.
However, I caution anyone that is buying foods simply because they're labeled as "Organic." We looked into getting our certification several times and ultimately concluded that it A) wasn't worth the cost and B) was hypocritical. Since the organic label actually allows for the usage of many chemical pesticides/herbicides.
Nothing irks me more than when people come up to buy something and then walk away with their nose in the air when we tell them that we aren't legally certified organic but we use fewer chemicals than many people who are. The term "Organic" absolutely is a scam because when you look under the hood you realize that they're allowed to use all kinds of stuff that you wouldn't expect.
So, if you're after food that's truly free of chemicals then do not buy it at the stores. Go to farmer's markets and talk to the farmer about how they raise their crops. All of the farmers I know are happy to talk about their plants and how they're raised. Just don't get blinded by the lack of an official organic certification (most small farms can't afford it anyway).
In the end though, I'm a realist. You simply cannot grow food on a commercial scale without some form of pesticide/herbicide. We lose a lot of product to bugs, rodents, and periodic disease. Since we're small we can usually pluck the affected plant and keep the rest of the field healthy, trap the rodents, etc. That's just not plausible for the large scale farms necessary to provide the country with all of the food it needs.
This post got a bit longer than I intended. My whole point, I guess, is that I think stuff like roundup, GMOs, etc is necessary in order to provide food on the scale that's needed to feed the entire country. Most people are going to be fine eating that way, I've personally never had an issue. But I also recognize that there are inherent drawbacks to using them and I'm a little nervous about what's going to happen if we get another country wide infestation of potato beetles.
Isn't Whole Foods owned by Amazon now? The literal definition of a megacorp.
My parents are red to the core, but they're farmers who's bread and butter is local markets. So all of their marketing material and products are labeled to entice the local wannabe hippies and carbon-footprint-reducing-karens. All the packaging is recyclable or biodegradable. Everything is organic or all natural.
I help them run their market stalls and I was surprised how many people come up and just start blasting their politics at you, assuming you agree with them just because of the stuff you've got on offer.
Anyway, point is, unlike lefties I can smile and nod and keep my opinions to myself while they shell out for vegetables that are three times more expensive than you get at the grocery store. I don't have to agree with them but their money spends the same as anyone else's.
We've tried to recall her. Twice. Both times she barely squeaked by. She only just barely won the last governor's election. She only got into power her first term because her predecessor stepped down in the middle of his term.
This isn't the will of the people. It's blatant government abuse. Thanks to the mail in ballots, however, they've robbed us of the only tool we have to remove her from power.
That's already the case here. Even without Corona we only vote by mail.
No, unfortunately. The XFL declared bankruptcy and was sold off. Dwayne Johnson bought it along with a couple of other people. Apparently one of them is his ex-wife Dany Garcia and there were a bunch of posts on social media about how she's "The first ever woman to own a sports franchise!!!!!"
And so I'm pretty sure that if it comes back it won't be anything like it was.
Correction, Oregon gets what PORTLAND votes for. She only barely won the last governor election. Honestly, most people suspect ballot tampering there too. Which isn't hard considering all of our elections are mail-in only.
Hmmm...must be a coincidence or something.
Yeup. The last one was desperately close too. This time the organizers made sure they got way more than they needed. I can't even begin to describe how pissed I am right now.
Too bad it got murdered. I seriously doubt it's coming back in the same capacity it was before. Political statements and protests during games were banned in the rules. The players actually seemed passionate about the game as opposed to pansies waiting for the next multi-million dollar contract.
Every single player and coach wanted to keep playing despite the China Virus. They were willing to play to empty stadiums as long as they could keep the season going. Honestly, I think the way they were forced to shut down was orchestrated by the NFL. Those greedy bastards can't stand any form of competition.
Honestly sucks that they murdered the XFL. Protests and political statements during games were banned right in the rules.
Honestly, I'm on the fence. A swift kill would be merciful and establish dominance, but I feel like it would be more effective for him to draw it out.
I picture Trump pacing the stage like he did with Hilary and tossing in one word comments here and there then grinning to himself while Joe stammers and forgets where he is. Just little jabs here and there, to highlight how this man who wants to be leader of the Free World can't even keep track of his last sentence.
I wouldn't mind 90 minutes of watching Trump slowly and methodically showing the entire world exactly which one of them is in the middle of severe cognitive decline.
