The challenge is simple. It took me a while, but I finally got it. You see, I really liked your piece. Well thought out, articulate, accurate, fact-based - uh, rational, inciteful, well intended. Problem comes when we wonder why the irrational children masquerading as protesters can't follow the logical argument. Lookup the statistics on just how incompetent and unprepared many of those graduating from schools really are. Reasons can be solved, but not by idiots like the Mayor of New York (Bill de Dickblasio). I have come to understand that they are really that clueless about life, life skills, history, civics and most everything else. Once you accept that, it all becomes easier!

This was just one of many weirdly petty storylines. Writer Thomas Chatterton Williams, who organized the letter, found himself described as a “mixed race man heavily invested in respectability politics,” once he defended the letter, one of many transparent insults directed toward the letter’s nonwhite signatories by ostensible antiracist voices.
