You have to understand the kind of Postmodernist/Intersectional/Marxist lens that's behind it. Same thing for all 3. (I think they're all Marxist, myself.)
The methods and standards that we hold for facts and truth aren't some universal set of standards. They're the dominant culture oppressing "other ways of knowing".
By this standard, you don't need to test or prove this, you just need people who feel that it's the case and it's "true".
I don't have good direct sources on all of it, I ran through second, third, and later generation material. Peggy Mcintosh is a Marxist Intersectional Feminist thought leader of note, but reading her stuff is daunting. I find reading Anita Sarkeesian's master thesis "I'll Make a Man out of You" is a good insight. https://www.academia.edu/4066522/I_LL_MAKE_A_MAN_OUT_OF_YOU1_STRONG_WOMEN_IN_SCIENCE_FICTION_AND_FANTASY_TELEVISION
While you're reading that, note all the anti-capitalist statements on a pass.
For a nice over view of a source idea, but I can't get the book it's on yet, try PSA Sitch's "The Origin of Only White People Can Be Racist". Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqqdmRUGoOA Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua73gNImLrw
For your own reading, but not great at proving anything to those mired in it, I suggest taking a read of both Christina Hoff Sommers' "Who Stole Feminism" and Stephen Hicks "Explaining Postmodernism". The latter because Intersectional Feminism is a Postmodernist field.
An interesting read after "Explaining Postmodernism" would be "The God that failed". A book of 6 essays from Communist authors around the early and mid 1900s. It's eerie how many things from the German author reflect things happening today in higher education and in many companies.
I wish you luck with your friend, but I caution you and thinking evidence or reason is going to be all you need. That can get frustrating. There's interviews with Yuri Bezminov that go over this. Here's a 9 minute clip from an interview with him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgCnpCBORyM I highly recommend watching this one.
It's a canard. If you research where it comes from, it comes from a set of Intersectional Feminist beliefs that hold it is about oppressing others.
When you see it in application, it's about vilifying men and white people. When you research the core beliefs of the people who made the ideas, it's about trying to destroy the Western world to make way for a Marxist world.
The concepts are also designed to be misunderstood so people will support what they think the idea is and support the people that are operating off the more Marxist lens of it.
"Join me to save the whales!" By save, I mean capture them all and put them in pay for access aquariums. The ones that can't be captured will be killed, but we'll make sure that's never openly stated, control the news cycle to never expose us, and work the people trying to save the whales into such an ideological frenzy about how good our cause is, they'll attack you for trying to point out what we're doing is bad.
That's how this stuff works.
Sure, sure. UN is trash, corrupted organization.
Get them to delete their agency's recommendations for Europe's sexual education programs to teach children ages 1 to 4 about masturbation, gender identity, and so much more bullshit.
I did start coming here for a bit of a release valve on that level. Although BLM is just one more continuation of the stuff I've been watching since 2014.
Can't call out leftist bullshit almost anywhere I would like to be. Don't conform and get your butt yelled out and kicked out. I'm not the kind of person who's chomping at the bit to be a dick, but I don't want to have to use made up pronouns or hold back from challenging people's double standards just because they think their identity is tied up in their BS.
You should pretty much dig a little and assume these people are Marxist based on just a few clues.
"Racism = Power + Privilege", anything about "Whiteness", "Patriarchy", "Systemic Racism" and more. You dig into these beliefs and it's Marxist all the way in.
Thank you for the Archive of that. It's much appreciated, along with pointing out the article.
What BS. "(...) without anyone getting hurt—except, of course, for the inanimate racist who’s been dead for a century anyway. "
"This article is being presented only to describe the physics and mechanics of removing statues, in light of national attention being drawn to the removal of Confederate monuments and statues. Popular Mechanics is not encouraging anyone to remove any statues."
Dishonest reprobates.
Attributing them with a coherent belief beyond "Anything that paints society as Racist and Oppressive, true or false" is getting it wrong.
Although the fact is, most of 'em have been given an idea to think and are running on a leash somebody put on 'em and their belief follow the leash leading them.
I like my freaks and geeks and I'll tell you, Leftism has become a full on cult. Give me an individualistic, pro-freedom group and I'm good. Give me people like these collectivist, authoritarian villains and I'm opposed.
They've perfected several things that are best termed "Mind Viruses" propped up by the amount of material out there for you to stumble across once you catch one that'll make it worse and worse. Simple little ideas, usually, that sound kind of true that are just outright false.
Political party? Sure. Has a chockhold on culture, businesses, and institutions? Yes.
I expect them to press their luck, of course, but I don't think considering it just the efforts of a dying political party is accurate.
Would I be surprised that there are people looking to hit a precinct? Nope.
I mean, I don't know what the street/gang activity alone is like in that area, but I could buy people being paid to press this somehow, but that's wild speculation at this point. That's far more probable for me today than it would've been a few years ago.
They're not intended to come out on top in the first place.
Whatever they believe is a canard their old masters intended to make them into matches. Light the fire, get burned up.
However they some of the most racist people I've ever encountered in my life. Dishonest as well. Making the old school racists you can still dig up look good in comparison because they're at least honest about what they're wanting and what they believe.
I've seen them call women, black Americans and every other ethnicity, homosexuals, and every other thing they say they're fighting for those exact same things.
Gamergate happened and they showed they don't care about people, just power. If you don't support them, you're an -ist, a -phobe, and must be shut down for wrongthink.
They're good at getting positions of power and influence as well, so we're gonna be subject to this for a fair number of years to come. Until our society starts rejecting parasites and activists who try to change their employers and everybody around them to do what they want.
Checked the numbers, found 2016. Reported 740,000 police for a nation with a legal population of 324 million.
Gee. Yeah, there's gonna be bad things sometimes, even a few bad departments, but with those numbers, you can't pick out handfuls of bad interactions and blame ever last inch of it.
It's another con game intended to help destroy the nation.
That's nothing. Follow how many people don't believe in extremist left content run sites that pander to it and hire people that will push those agendas.
Hey, what's it matter when you getting money? Let's prop up Marxists with our company and platform because we want the profit!
Hey. That kinda reminds of how we moved a ton of manufacturing over to China and other nations.
Without the ability to win against their methods of cultural infiltration, then it's just watching these things fall down and waiting for the next time they restart their methods.
It's like getting treated for being punched without ever figuring out how to do something about the guy throwing the blows.
It gets even worse when you learn this is what is increasingly the default viewpoint they teach in higher education. Especially in Writing/Media, Journalism, and the Social Sciences.
Just think of all those "researchers" "creators" "journalists" and "reporters" that believe this is how it works!
