Agreed. Just from the very limited content I've seen, he completely changed the way I see the Bible, and made me realize that there are lessons to be learned from the ancient humans who have passed down that knowledge.
Benzos shouldn't be prescribed except for many in certain extreme cases. It's insane that like 7% or more of adults in the US have Benzo prescriptions.
What evidence do you have of him self-medicating with Benzos? As far as I know, he got fucked by the prescription his doctor gave him.
Given what I know about how addictive Benzos are, it wouldn't be unheard of for someone to self medicate after being addicted by their prescription, but considering how much the left has attempted to assassinate his character, I'd be hesitant to believe what you are claiming without seeing compelling evidence.
I'm all for knowing the objective truth, so I'd be happy to hear more.
The narrative is now "if there was fraud, the courts would have already proved it"... Even if no court has seen or ruled on any evidence.
So by the lefts logic, you can get away with the murder you committed yesterday, because "if there was murder, the courts would have already proved it".
You really are full of shit aren't you. You remind me so much of the dirty liberals I interact with frequently when doing research in left-wing echo chambers.
The reason I'm not "even shilling him the slightest bit well here", is because I never had any intention of doing so. I simply stated some of the facts that I know, which are very different to your misconceptions, and left it up to you to come to your own conclusions.
Based on your attitude and apparent lack of objectivity, I can only assume that any attempt at convincing you of anything would be a complete waste of time anyway.
His family and their situation just so happens to be one of countless things I have done extensive research on, as understanding the truth about objective reality matters a great deal to me.
I haven't consumed that much of his content, since I only got to know about him last year, and I am far more interested in other subjects. Even though I have had limited benefit from his teachings personally, there are some things which I would have likely never learned from anyone else. I value knowledge shared by insightful individuals who can think for themselves and make sense.
I have seen enough to have a good idea of what he believes and the kind of person he is, and be confident that his work does a lot of good, and is a net positive to the world.
I've wasted too much my time on you already, but thanks for proving that my evaluation of you was on point.
I don't make statements that I can't back up with facts.
Sure I'm capable of providing a compelling argument to counter your long gish-gallop... However, based on the initial impression I got from you, I didn't feel it would be worth taking the time to unpack and explain things to you. Your response to me giving you a detailed explanation of his pharmaceutical dependency has just further solidified how I feel.
You are capable of doing your own serious research, if you were genuinely interested in the truth. It appears you are far more interested in trying to discredit someone you know almost nothing about, presumably because you read some hit piece or some other bullshit published by the left to try to discredit someone that poses a huge threat to their ideology.
He's such a big threat to the left, because they cannot label him any of the terrible things they use to discredit and attack everyone else who isn't a brainwashed liberal. That's why they are forced to attack him personally, and slander him and his family in every way possible.
His daughter just happened to be born with a physical disorder that is poorly understood by modern medicine and therefore cannot be treated. Attempts to treat it only made things worse for her. It took her decades of suffering before she was able to figure out that the food she had been consuming her whole life was in fact poisoning her, and that happens to include almost all kinds of food.
Similar to his daughter, his depression was also related to chemical imbalances in his body, which is not something that can be treated with his psychology.
Both of them were seriously let down by the medical system, which only made things much much worse.
He's only human. No one is perfect. If you wait until you find someone who is perfect to take advice from, you're going to be waiting a very long time.
His advice has helped more people than you will ever know, which validates it's usefulness.
You seem to be very off base about basically everything. You shouldn't jump to conclusions based on rumors and other bullshit, without understanding the full story.
You can find my comment below where I explained how the US healthcare system and big pharma got him addicted to benzos and would have let him die because they were incapable of getting him off what they prescribed without his body shutting down completely.
Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_zjdmkou0Q
Perhaps he made the fatal mistake that almost everyone does at some point in their lives (some much more than others), and deferred to an expert in a field which he does not specialize in.
It's not that hard to believe that he trusted his doctor. It's not impossible to think that he underestimated just how addictive the low dose that his doctor prescribed would be, especially since something like 7% of adults in the US have benzo prescriptions.
We are all human and made errors in judgement. His error was trusting his doctor instead of suffering for long enough to do sufficient research to know better.
The fault still lies with the doctor, who should have never recommended the prescription in the first place, but decided to because he was incentivized by big pharma. The healthcare system is very fucking broken.
I've noticed that myself and other serious programmers seem to be immune to this.
Same reason why we are able to notice patterns and abnormalities which most other people are completely oblivious to. When you spend your life implementing logic and debugging software, you can spot logical errors from a mile away.
You're misinformed to say the least. You clearly have no idea what he has gone through, or how he reached that point in the first place. None of it was his own fault.
The blame lies solely with the US medical system and big pharma.
He has gone through a very rough time with his health, and almost died thanks to big pharma and the US medical system, but he's doing better now and is finally able to do work again.
His doctor put him on a prescription which he became physically dependent on, and which also did serious physical damage to him. The US healthcare system completely failed him and was unable to get him off the drugs they put him on.
He eventually had to be taken to Moscow for an experimental detox treatment which was able to get him off the drugs without his body shutting down completely, which was a huge challenge due to the pandemic. His whole family then ended up getting COVID in Eastern Europe while he was getting treatment.
Unfortunately the physical damage to his body was already done, and he now has a long road ahead of him to recovering completely and managing the effects of the damage that was done.
