The only problem with a very free and open society is its vulnerability to social enemies. If the US ever recovers, or whatever is left of it forms its own country, it's going to have to be a lot more like, say, Singapore, in order to retain its form.
The weird thing is it's mostly a white person phenomena with white people who don't actually have a social or family situation in which they're integrated with other races. Their only understanding of race relations comes from the media, which has been misreporting them at least since OJ. White libs think all non-whites have grievements and chips on their shoulder. Lots of brothers I know are sick of dealing with this assumption. A friend of mine at work actually said to me, "I'm glad you just act normal with me." I kind of felt like I knew where he was going but asked him for specifics, and he said that since the BLM thing started, some whites treat him like he's a dangerous child. We're in a sick situation thanks to the powers that be.
I believe someone will go to jail. Not the person or persons who committed massive crimes by freezing buying, but, the person or persons who the elites will blame for their losses. Someone in middle management who 'didn't see it coming,' or some disposable loser like ol' Bernie Maddof. They might also throw some Redditors in jail for 'financial terrorism and ties to white supremacy' or whatever. You know how it goes by now.
Ok.... I've never been fleeced by a Nigerian Prince in exile, but, I got fleeced by my own party to which I've donated... well, let's say a LOT. Not a penny went to stop the steal? After all the fucking we've received by the establishment these past five years, this is just like the slap on the ass afterward.
I don't get how a short works. You apparently 'bet' a stock is worth a certain amount on a certain date by agreeing to by it for whatever it's worth on a certain date? If it's worth more than you assumed, you still have to buy it. But if it's worth less, you somehow get paid? And the hedge funds bought GME shorts, and tried to annhihilate the company price, but normies fought back by buying?
Yes. Scarcity of labor increases the strength of unions, etc. However, the union bosses have labor contracts and laws that are always strengthened by Dems. All the labor literature is always pro Dem. Cons are political enemies of labor, always, unless they start actively supporting its laws.
I do appreciate worker's rights and unions. Big time. As a mechanic I've worked many years in private sector, and many in union. I would choose union every time. But at the same time I see how fucked the system is regarding blind support for Dem policies, while Repubs take shots at unions. It's frustrating.
Wow, she's really attractive.
