That was during the '96 Olympics in Atlanta. My aunt lived near there at the time and got me one of the team's practice shirts. It was a tye dye shirt in Lithuanian colors with a skeleton dunking through the U in Lithuania. I wore that shirt until the sleeve literally fell off.

I remember there being a quote from Teddy Roosevelt that sounded very similar to this one...

I remember years ago a story of an 11 ye old girl home alone who shot 3 illegal immigrants breaking into her home with her dad's rifle. She was an award winning skeet shooter. One was shot and rolled down the stairwell, the other bled out in their doorway. Only report on it was the local paper.

We'll of course they did, the propaganda usefulness for the charges waned, so why keep up the farce?

It's always after the fact that they realize that maybe their ideas weren't so good after all.

He didn't fail, the school failed him. The school failed at their job. They failed. They failed, that's the problem here. They failed. They failed. He didn't deserve that.”

If you're not checking your child's grades every semester at least to make sure they're not failing, then you're just as much at fault as the shit school your kid is attending.

My 16y.o. daughter had a similar reaction when she found out I voted Trump. I asked her why she hated him and she said he was anti LGBT and a racist. I showed her that he attended a gay wedding and appointed openly gay personnel into the upper echelons of his administration, played the full context clip and showed the administrative actions he took for the black community

Once her eyes were open I asked where she got those ideas from. Turns out it was a former classmate from her old school. I ended the lesson with an explanation of the Trust but Verify mindset and how you especially have to apply it to politics and news in this day and age. I'm going to do my damnedest to make it stick
