What county did you do this in? I looked up the Committee seats as was suggested watching War Room and all of the seats in my town are taken. From what I gather, at least in Somerset County, each voting district has 2 seats, 1 male and 1 female, and they are currently held by the Mayor and his wife in my district.
I'm going to be moving one town over at the end of the year, and same deal, all of the seats are filled. These are the same people that sat back and watched democrats take over the county over the past decade and did nothing about it. How do you get involved without just becoming a volunteer doing their bidding if all of the seats are filled?
