These actions shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. They had four years to plan this and they are good at planning these kinds of things.

Trump has the backing of the bulk of the Right or Right-Center or whatever. He got more votes that any other person running for president (unless you count all the dead people that voted for Harris/Biden).
I hate to see the Senate go 50/50 and we won both of those races already, but didn't get 50%, so it's going to be close.
