You know, it's real fucking interesting how they say they don't want to "minimize the impact" of the racist messages and claim they take acts of racism extremely seriously, and yet go on to completely avoid any mention of punishment for the student who actually sent the messages and instead are actually giving that student exactly what she wanted by creating "conversations [on] racial equity and justice" in the wake of her hoax.
Is the "meaningful outcome" of these "conversations" going to lead to a reduction in the number of incidents where minority students engage in hate hoaxes in attempts to frame white students? Is it going to lead to a reduction in racial tensions through conversations highlighting that this perceived racism is a fabrication? Or is the outcome going to be the continued demonization of white students and the reinforcement of minority students' perception that racism is everywhere, as the hoaxers wanted? I think we all know the answer.
If the school actually cared about the impact of her racist messages, they'd be saying what steps they are taking to punish the student responsible. But they won't, because there won't be any punishment. Because the student who sent them was black.
So the ultimate message is that you can send horribly racist and hateful targeted messages and not suffer any consequences, as long as you're not white.
If you're not white, then the hateful racist messages you sent are actually still the fault of white people.
If you're not white, you aren't responsible for your actions.

Assuming any of that is even true, what does a restraining order for domestic violence have to do with being inside the Capitol? Did a restraining order change the fact that she was unarmed? Was she violating that retraining order by being within the Capitol? Did the cop who shot her have foreknowledge of her restraining order, and did it justify her death?
