I think you got it.. no real science that can prove masks stop the spread of influenza or SARS-COV-2, but there is some science that shows the virus attached to droplets or other larger dust can be trapped by the mask. there is some benefit, although slight around 10% that can stop, but 90% will get past so it becomes a question of viral load, subject levels of nutrition, Vitamin D and underlining conditions.
I am 100% for wearing a mask when I go into a store, or a church or any gathering that is inside. I understand the tiny amount of protection, and the psychological crutch of doing something while we face danger is critical for many to hold it together. but at the same time there are great bigger long term dangers.. studies were done years ago that found the best way to change someone physiologically is to wear a mask. instantly they are different. long term creates deep changes. So it is critical while using them to realize they are dangerous and can turn you into a zombie if not careful, one that will even lash out at others..
When fear becomes a virtue, seeking more fear becomes a goal.
