actually it is called triage.. it is managing resources you have, by matching them to the patients for the maximum outcome given what you have. so a mistake would be giving some of your last doses to a person who has a head injury who has minutes to live.. this is always the case. the issue is the number of beds and ventilators. once we have a surplus they can throw this away.

It is impossible for the media to report anything accurately, I mean anything.. the reality is masks come in many diff quality levels, a few (construction/healthcare) have the correct rating for protection, so they do work, but, here you have to be trained, wear other "PPE" personal protection equipment of which the mask is only one part of, and then have to know how to fit and use it, and when it is no longer protective. Conversely, the public avg joe is a fucking moron, me included and will put the mask on alone, and not fit it correctly, and continually touch my face more adjusting it and scratching from it making me itchy.. this actually makes the mask useless, giving people a wrong sense of security where they take more risks while destroying 80% of efficiency.. and higher risk.
surgical masks (the big ones) are only to stop something coming out of your mouth dripping into a body.. so they are great from stopping sick people from coughing on everything (public can use them) but they are not rated to stop virus from coming in
So at the end of the day, the masks work, but are wasted on the public.
Add to this the shortage, and the actual message is, masks are critical for our health care workers as a priority,

But not when the FBI is telling him who to target, what to use and when.. how much is the FBI the problem they are solving. I know little bout this case, but enough that there were questions about what the agents were coaching then the guy turns up dead after it is reported..
