They are over blowing the mortality rate as we are not counting the actual number of infected. many are infected, get better and never reported. That directly inflates the mortality rate.

if you use a LOWER number of infected that survive in your calculations than the rate you calculate is WRONG.
there are hundreds of thousands that go un-diagnosed, that have mild cases that are not counted in the calculation. people die from complications of existing illness.

I believe TD wants the best for everyone, and understands the real risks involved, but also the dark forces that prey on us. My Mom said, during a crisis, look for those that help, those are the angels.
I don't like hearing about hospitals not having supplies or folks unable to get kits, those are areas we need to change immediately.. all focus, reporting and help should be spent helping to find and getting those resources in place.
Billions have been allocated, mass travel has been stopped, the greatest minds in the world are working on an immunization which should be ready in a number of weeks, public life has to carry on with a balance of caution and prevention. Supply chains impact are the largest portion of the market value loss, as I type new stories are being written to panic and capitalize on the fear, people need education and access to testing.
These two things are the most important now until a shot is ready. The media instead decide to focus on irresponsible speculation and commiseration, the idea that how many weeks into this and a large portion of the public is afraid to drink Corona Beer they are changing behavior should be a red flashing light and alarm that the media is wasting it's time.
They should be non stop education, with charts, and graphics and deep explanation of how the chemistry of the virus and the body function here, how it spreads, life spans on surfaces, temperature, list of cleaning products that will kill it, instructions on how to properly clean surfaces, and belongings, homes..
They devoted more time to a missing flight and ghost flight patterns than they do on actual information the public can use to stop it's spread and protect lives.
Panic is the worst thing right now it helps nothing, and that is all the media is selling.
Americans have much healthier lungs and much lower population density than the Chinese. We also have the luxury of an early warning. We have better hygiene. So it will spread here, but just not as fast, not will it reach to the same numbers that it did in China. Main worry is panic/economy. Expect far fewer deaths than the regular flu.
