In order to become a monopoly, you'd have to offer a service beyond competition. This is good for the consumer. In order to maintain a monopolistic position, you'd have to keep new competitors from offering a better proposition to consumers, which also ends up being good for consumers. So in that case, who cares if something is monopolized?
