VA is close. Trump still has a big lead which is dropping, but apparently the earlier call was based on mail-in expectations, and they just haven't been big enough for Biden. VA is absolutely in play, and even RCP un-called it.
According to the Guardian, it is being called for Biden because the AP expects Biden will win with the final tally. I have no idea. Some sources say nearly 90% in already, some say 49%. All say Biden wins it, but shows Trump ahead by a lot.
I'm looking at all of this, and I've been doing this for years, and I am seeing widespread divergence between reporting, calling states and frankly looking at hard numbers, there are states called for Biden that the votes simply don't exist to make him win.
We're in the middle of a major disinformation campaign. I think media has decided they will not allow an answer tonight or let us even get a solid feel for certain states.
They're denying us the satisfaction of what we know is actually happening.
I'm officially confused about VA. I'm looking at the reporting. 98.99% of Loudoun County reporting, an expected big blue area, and it has Trump at 55.8%. I've seen a LOT of Trump signs there lately, but I wasn't totally believing Loudoun would vote Trump. For those familiar with NVA, this is Ashburn, Leesburg, Dulles.
Why is this still being called for Biden? Trump even is within 5 points in Fairfax County (big swamp country), with 85% in. Where are the votes for Biden coming from? I am very confused now.
Edit: Also seeing Aliscia Andrews and Daniel Gade winning big time, but both being called for their opponents.
Again, this always happens in Ohio. The cities report first. This blows the load for the Democrats early. Everyone freaks out. CNN and all of them talk it up. Then the other 84 counties report and flip it red by 10 points and the Young Turks cry.
Ohio called for Trump.
